GADAG 4 P GADAG DAME SELECTED FOR STATE LEVEL KARATE Betageri - Gadag: Kumari Sonali Kabadi the daughter of Amrut Kabadi of Gadag studying in Loyola High School that had participated in the Gadag district Karate competition jointly organized by Jilla Panchayati, Public Instruction Department and Chetan Karate Club have been selected for the state level competition. The SSK Times greets and congratulates the budding dame and also appreciates Chetan Karate Club for imparting excellent Karate training. Kumari Sonali Kabadi Gangavati’s 15th Aug- Ravi Srinivas Raibagi presented himself as ‘Krishna’ and won the prize in the Fancy Dress Competition. Kumar Kartik enacted the role of historic king Ashoka Chakravarti and won the prize. Both these kids studying in Saint Paul School of Gangavati are the sons of the town’s veteran Srinivas Raibagi. Both of them bagged the third prizes at the Fancy Dress Competition on the 15th of August GANGAVATI LITTLE KIDS ENACT BIG ROLES OF KRISHNA AND ASHOKA SONOROUS SINGER BOBY KALBURGI ENTHRALLED AUDIENCE Hubballi- The up-coming Byadagi artist and singer Boby Kalburgi enthralled the huge audience at the Sangolli Rayanna Birth-day fete in Hubballi recently. Boby Kalburgi sang the film songs – ‘karunad tayi sada chinmayi and Rajkumar’s Ashwamedha Geete’. His sonorous and imposingly melodious voice enthused the audience. Once, there was a naughty little duckling who always craved for adventure. He always wanted to go far away from the island they lived on. His mother kept warning him about going too far from the island. But, the little duckling was not the one who would listen. One day, when his mother was busy, he swam far away from the island and reached a distant city. At the same time, a fleet of ships belonging to the Navy were arriving. Lots of people had gathered on the port to welcome the sailors. When the ships were in sight, the people saw a large yellow figure behind the ships. Everyone was surprised to see the figure! As the ships neared the port, so did the yellow figure. Finally, the figure could fully be seen. It was a giant DUCK!! The ship’s crew members were so shocked that their jaw literally dropped to the floor .... Suddenly, they heard a quacking sound. The people looked around to see where it was coming from. The sound was ear-splitting. The duckling was scared and had started quacking. But, the duckling didn’t know that the people would see it only as a big duck figure and not a real duck. Suddenly, the people saw the duck burst into pieces and out jumped thousands of ducklings! But in reality, the duckling was crying out of fear. A few people said maybe a duck had laid eggs in the duck figure. The people then thought this was part of the welcoming ceremony and started cheering, clapping and even screaming. The duckling was now even more terrified. He swam back home as fast as he could. His mother was very worried. He ran to her and told her that he was sorry. The Sandalwood Cricket League is a non-professional men’s cricket league in Karnataka contested by eight teams consisting of the members of film Industry. The SCL with the teams of film stars takes the sport of cricket to impressive heights. The eight teams are captained by popular cine actors and artists. Pune Samaj president Manoj Arisidda lighted the lamp before the statue of Sahasrarjun Maharaj. Pune Samaj’s former president Anil Walvekar and Sachiv Sanjay Bhandage, organization’s president Avinash Kukkar expressed good wishes for the ‘Unite Youth Movement’. The session resolved to conduct the movement throughout the country and unite all the SSK young men and women. In the valedictory function all the office bearers of the organization were present. Pune Gramsabha’s office-bearers Yellesh Rangapure, Rajesh Kukkar, Ashok Kattyare, Yogesh Katwe, and Aandinni wished the Movement a grand success. Social servicer Gopalsa Chauhan was felicitated by the president Avinash Kukkar. Madhya Pradesh representatives Kamal Mule, Women representative Smt. Manisha Bochakari were felicitated. SECUNDERABAD SSK SAMAJ Secunderabad 15th Aug- The SSK samaj members hoisted the national flag at the office of the samaj enthusiastically and conducted a grand function. DHANPANCHAMI UTSAV IN YEOLA (MAHARASTRA) The SSK Samaj celebrated the Dhanapanchami at the Baleshawari Mata Temple. Suresh Kokane did the Mahapuja of Satyanarayana. The members of the SSK Samaj had gathered in huge numbers. Samaj president Narayansa Wadekar and the office bearers of all the committees participated actively in organizing the puja rituals. The aarati programme in the evening was quite soul-filling. HUBBALLI DAJIBANPET’S TULAJA BHAVANI Hubballi Dajibanpet’s Tulaja Bhavani decorated gorgeously with colorful flowers as part of Ashadhmasa’s rituals. The priests Mohansa Habib and his brothers looked after the puja performances. In front of the Goddess is seen Lord Padmanabha decorated magnificently On the last day, the Ambari of Mysore dasara was exhibited.
