Our Mission: Pathways School is an integral part of the Children’s Ministries at Dripping Springs United Methodist Church. We believe each child is a unique gift of God, and this ministry is designed to provide developmentally appropriate activities for preschool and kindergarten aged children. Support is expressed for the whole child with a special emphasis on God’s love for each of us.

May the Lord bless you and

keep you.

May his face shine upon you

and be gracious to you.

May he look upon you with

kindness and give you his

peace.

Be Full of Faith

Spring is Sprung! Yay for beautiful sunshine. This month there will definitely be music and LOTS of MOVEMENT. Exercise is imperative for building stronger, healthier, smarter brains in our children. While they move on the playground and in Music & Movement class, their little hearts are pumping oxygen and blood to their brains. Exercise also helps their bodies make more of those natural chemicals that promote brain cell growth. We will probably be found in the gym more often than in the Music and Movement classroom in April. I’ll be keeping them busy with many fun Gross Motor games. Your kids will also begin practicing songs for their graduation program if they are in the 4-year-old and Kindergarten program. Stay tuned for more details.

Music & Movement

With

Mrs. Jones

Mrs. Raymond’s Science Scoop

Spring is in the air! Eggs are in the incubator and the Science Fair is soon (April 28

and 29)...what a busy month. For all of our new families, the annual Science Fair is

a come when you can sort of thing; feel free to bring your relatives and

neighbors. Each class will be doing an experiment which will be documented with

pictures of their hard work. Each child will be individually interviewed as to

either how they did their experiment and what they used or they will give me their

hypotheses regarding the experiment. Each class will have time during the day to go

with me into the dining hall to observe all of the experiments.

Our baby chicks should be hatching the week of April 13th or 20th...not all the eggs

were put into our incubators on the same day so hatching will not occur all at

once. We will be keeping the chicks in the science room (in the chicken coop) for

about a week. If you are interested in having a minimum of two chicks, let me

know. I will keep a list of interested folks on a first come, first served type of basis

and since I don't know how many of our 18 eggs will be hatching, I cannot guarantee

that everyone who asks will get chicks.

A blessed Easter to you all.
