ELDRIDGE HOUSECroydon Council contracted Flexiform to furnish its newly refurbished building, Eldridge House. Flexiform put together a range of pieces to suit the client’s requirements, including Pico desks, Freestor storage units, and Asgard lockers. Flexiform’s contemporary furniture complements the geometric shape of the building, creating a striking visual synergy throughout the premises.

The council also wanted to utilise its branding and colours throughout the building and its furniture. Flexiform incor¬porated the council’s preferred colours into the screens and lockers, provide a unique, stylish and contemporary space.

The building’s open plan spaces are light and airy, chiefly due to its large windows, which bring streams of natural light into the space. Using the Pico desk com¬plements the freedom of space, as the legs are visu¬ally light and minimal, while also providing strength and stability.

Facilities manager Rebecca Drinkwater was very satisfied with the final job, and her wish to bring colour into the space was more than satisfied with the installed screens and the lockers.

A good working relationship between Flexiform and Croydon Council was established during this project, and a number of subsequent projects have been undertaken as a result.

STUBBS MEADFlexiform was invited to supply furniture for another of Croydon Council’s buildings: Stubbs Mead. The office building was and is primarily used by local refuse workers. Flexiform selected hard-wearing and washable breakout furniture for Stubbs Mead, providing an overall smart and sophisticated appearance, while also catering for the users’ needs. The space reflected Croydon’s deep purple brand colour, which was used throughout the building in meeting chairs and lockers, and was contrasted with black task chairs and sofas.
