Taylor swift bad blood

Urban location shown where there is no one around except the people fighting each other and there is no one else there to know what is happening

These two screen shots show the destroyed location where there is smashed glass and the smashed up car. This sets the story of it being a rebellious kind of story line for the song.

There is some of voyeurism shown in this video of seeing parts of the woman’s’ body such as the legs, which show the idea of how the video is set for the men to watch, and to see as idealistic, or something that they may want to happen.

There is also Intertextuality shown when the people are pretending to be some kind of super heroes, making the people within the video appear to be better than ‘normal’ people.

Problem Ariana Grande

This shows there is dancing involved in this music video and it fits in with telling that it is a pop song because when you watch pop song videos there is a lot of dancing.

The video also shows the idea of the glamour lifestyle of the singer as the rapper “big Sean” is wearing a lot of “bling” which is known for a lot for rappers to wear. There is also the idea of how the woman is less dominant to the male even in music videos, like this screen shot the main singer, “Ariana Grande” is seeming to be standing a little behind the rapper “big Sean” which shows that the man is more dominant.

This shows the voyeurism that is shown in the video however unlike the “Taylor Swift” song where it was only woman that didn’t have many clothes on, in this video there is also men that aren’t wearing as much; this shows how the audience want to view the people within the video, and that sometimes, subverting from the ‘ordinary’ is a good thing to do.

There is also close up shots of the singer. This shows two reasons of why it is used in the video. First reason is because creators want it to make the fans think that she is singing at them and that they are part of her world and video. Second reason is that the shot is only of the singer and that is what fans want because they are, it could be

argued, the most important part of the music video.

Ed Sheeran- thinking out loud

In this music video there is once again some dancing however it is different to the previous dancing in the Ariana Grande song as it is more elegant. This shows how it is a more of a slow, romantic song. You can tell also how is romantic as the lighting is spot light which is known for being a ‘romantic’ lighting, and giving the feeling to viewers of romance.

There is, once again a shot of only the singer to let the fans only see the main person who is singing and have a ‘fan moment’ about him.

This shows the story line as being romantic once again and also the romance between the couple and how they are when they are together. We know this, as in the screen shot they are lying together in a heart shape on the floor cuddling.

Ed sheeran- Lego house

This shows how the singer includes shots of them playing to the audience in the music video. This shows that he is popular, especially when performing to a live audience.

This shows intextuality in the story line because it shows the life of a crazy fan, wanting to be like his idol “Rupert Grint” playing the fan and being crazed fan to Ed sheeran.

This shows the idea of looking at the fans once again however it is different than the other videos as they have used a well-known person, known for his role in harry potter. In this video, however, he is pretending he is the singer which makes the fans love the singer more, the actor more

and the video as well.

In this video there is once again dancing which is what shows how it is a pop music because when we think about pop music we expect the video to be all dancing and like a party within the video itself.

It is hard to make a screen shot of this but there is a lot of fast paced editing in the video, which shows how the song matches the editing, as they are both fairly fast-paced.

There is also the show of a glamourous lifestyle because even though in the video she seems to just be like her fans, with her just dancing around in the house she still seems to be having a more glamorous life than us because the room she is in is so big, the clothes she wears seems to be more glamorous than what people would usually wear, so people will most likely see her to be ‘perfect’ and ‘pretty’.

Taylor swift-wildest dream

It shows the glamour lifestyle when shown in the music video that she is an actress and we know the kind of style that actresses have in the world. It also shows how she is trying to personify an actress as well because in real life she is a singer so she is

showing the life of a different person. It gives an impression to the audience the kind of style that they have.

Voyeurism is shown through the actors hardly having any clothes on and also in the way that they are showing their love for each other, this lets people in the audience watch the man and women, and be able to relate this too their own lives.

There are scenes of wild animals and it being filmed in the wild that fits with the song called “wildest dreams” which shows the comparison of the lyrics and visuals to the sound of the song.

Justin Bieber- What do you mean?

At the start of this video there is instant showing of glamour lifestyle because of the car being so stylish and looking new which shows that only those living a ‘better’ lifestyle can afford it. Intexuality is also shown in this video as it shows the main artist ‘Justin Bieber’ is playing a serious kind of person who seems to be in a situation with a man who seems to be in a gang.

There is voyeurism shown in parts of this music video to help to entice viewers to continue watching, as it makes them curious as to what it going to happen next within the narrative of the song.

There is also a shot of only him (Justin Bieber) in the video to let the fans to be able to just see the artist and no one else which is what the fans want, as this is the person in the main focus of the video. It also shows from the start, with a close up of his face that it is going to be the genre of pop because we know the artist is part of that genre with his songs.

The lighting is showing a dim place, setting the scene of compassion and love between the characters which help to show the story that they want to sell in the video.
