Purpose of Group Faculty Membership Meetings Communication Tools

Aims Faculty Association (AFA)

The purpose of the Aims Faculty Association is to unite faculty in the common goal of educating students and promoting the profession of teaching at Aims Community College.

4 elected officers, and 12 elected representatives that also serve on other committees All full-time and part-time faculty eligible to be members

Monthly meetings open to all faculty AFA officers meet at least monthly with VPAA AFA officers meet at least annually with College President

AFA internal website: https://sites.google.com/a/aims.edu/aims-faculty-association/ Meeting minutes sent via email to AFA members and posted to AFA website

Consultation The Consultation Committee shall meet regularly with members of Aims Community College administration to discuss issues related to specific conditions of employment.

To follow a set of metrics that measure student success.

Board of Trustees A five-member Board of Trustees. The Trustees are elected to four-year terms by voters in Aims' taxing district, which encompasses all of Weld County, as well as portions of Adams, Broomfield, Larimer, Logan, and Morgan Counties.
