Colorado Christian University is the only member of the Council for Christian Colleges aUniversities located in the mainline Rocky Mountains region and minutes from Denver—a worclass location for a distinctive educational experience founded on Christ-centered ethics. LOCATIONS

HISTORY CCU began in 1914 as the Denver Bible Institute, with two students taught by one teacherseveral rented buildings. Denver Bible grew to become Denver Bible College, Rockmont Collein 1949, and then merged with Western Bible College in 1985 to become Colorado ChristiCollege. The College merged with Colorado Baptist University in 1989 and was renamed ColoraChristian University.

PRESIDENT – WILLIAM L. ARMSTRONG

Bill Armstrong served for 18 years in the nation’s capitol—six in the Houof Representatives and 12 as a U.S. senator. He was a member of tSenate Banking, Senate Finance, and Senate Budget committees afor six years was chairman of the Senate Republican Policy CommitteA successful businessman, Armstrong has been a director of six pubcompanies and chairman/owner/operator of 13 private companiincluding radio and television stations, a daily newspaper, investmefirms, a real-estate brokerage company, and a title insurance compaArmstrong also served for 17 years as a board member of Camp

Crusade for Christ.

During his years in the Senate, Armstrong established a reputation as a principled, issue-orientlegislator and was prominently “mentioned” as a potential candidate for the U.S. presidencyvice presidency. The New York Times described him as “a man whose restless intellect is admirby his foes as well as his friends.”

Armstrong became president of Colorado Christian University in 2006. “I feel a great sensedestiny about the opportunity to help educate a new generation of leaders,” he says. “It is tmost significant, energizing, and rewarding work I have ever undertaken.”

DISTINGUISHED SCHOLAR IN RESIDENCE – DR. LARRY CRABPh.D., M.A., University of Illinois

B.A., Ursinus College

Dr. Larry Crabb is a well-known psychologist, conference and seminspeaker, Bible teacher, popular author, and founder/director of New WMinistries (www.NewWayMinistries.org). In addition to various speakiand teaching engagements, he offers a weekend conference throughothe country, entitled “Life on the Narrow Road,” and a weeklong Schoof Spiritual Direction held in Colorado Springs, Colo. In 2000, Crabwho held a private practice in clinical psychology from 1973 to 1982Boca Raton, Fla., was appointed as spiritual director for the Americ

Association of Christian Counselors. He formerly taught at Regent College, Grace TheologiSeminary, Florida Atlantic University, and The University of Illinois.

Dr. Crabb has authored many books, including Understanding People, The Marriage Build

Kevin Miller returned to Colorado Christian University this year Executive in Residence and Distinguished Professor of Business aLeadership. Besides being the founding dean of CCU’s School of Busineand Leadership, he is the founder and President of Whitestone Miller, In

a venture consulting firm. Through WMI, Miller has served Fortune 5firms and privately held companies, with special focus on organizationstransition, including start-ups and turnarounds.

Miller displays his moral vision as the co-founder and President of Whitestone Leadership Forua non-profit focused on Christian education and outreach—as well as the co-founder for VanguaRoundtable, a discussion group for Christians focused on public policy and politics. A fellowCCU’s Centennial Institute, author of the book Freedom Nationally, Virtue Locally—or Socialisand on-air host of the radio program Executive Network, Miller has impacted a wide audience whis acumen.
