Bunmurra Byala Here, there, everywhere

Dear Families,

Welcome to Week 5 of the term, it’s hard to believe we are almost half way

through the term already!

Kindergarten attended their first morning assembly today and did an amazing job

finding their lines and teachers on the quad amongst everybody else, well done

Kindy!

The Department of Education has approved our air conditioning project which the

school and the P&C have jointly funded. We have been assigned a project manager

and I’m waiting to hear the next step in getting 18 of our rooms’ air conditioned.

This afternoon staff are completing their CPR certifications.

If your contact details, emergency contacts

or the health needs of your child has

changed, please notify the Office so we can

update their records.

Did you know….if you write the name of

your child's school on their Opal card, the

bus depot can return it to the Office to be

given back to your child.

School Banking

Tuesday morning is our school banking day. If

students can deliver their deposit books to the

office prior to 10.00am. Every deposit made, a

percentage is paid to the school which we use to

fund valuable resources. Thank you Michelle, our

wonderful parent volunteer, who gives her time

each week for school banking

Library

The Book Fair arrives Thursday 27th February and leaves

Thursday 12th March. On both Friday 28th February and the

6th March, the Book Fair will be open in the Library all day

for parents to pop in . Students can purchase from the fair

before school 8.30– 9.00am, lunch and after school 3.00-

3.30pm. We look forward to seeing you!

Library Lovers Day

Friday 14th February was Library Lovers Day. Staff and students showed

their love for our wonderful library filled with amazing books.

Year 6

It is time to start the transition of your child from Year 6 to Year 7. Students will be bringing home

their Expression of Interest forms this week. These forms need to be returned to the Office no

later than Friday March 20th, 2020. Further information is available at https://

What an exciting time ahead!

Sport Inter School Tennis

Last week, Thomas J (3/4M), Tom H (Mac M), Cody K (5/6M) and Oliver H (5/6M) went to Springwood

Tennis club for a day of tennis. There were 4 groups made up with all the other schools in the Blue

Mountains. We all played 5 matches and the top 2 from each group moved onto the Sydney West. I

made it to the playoffs but it got rained out so they couldn’t play the playoffs. They then only took the

top 1 from each group, but I came second. Nobody from our school made it into Sydney West , but it

was a fun day!

We all had a great time.

Canteen

Canteen need volunteers! Your

1 hour a week will make a huge

difference. Please pop in to see

Bec if you can help.

Uniform Shop

The Uniform shop is open every second

Monday from 9.00 –9.30am. Our next open day

is Monday 2nd March. We need more regular

volunteers. Without more volunteers, the

shop will operate less. Please email

[email protected] if you can help.

We will also be phasing out cash payments in

the coming weeks. Credit card or direct

deposit options are available

P&C AGM 11th March @ 7pm in the School Staff Room

All positions will be declared vacant.

Each position must be filled for the P&C to operate.

President—ensures the successful function of the Association

Secretary—principal administration officer of the Association

Treasurer—responsible for the sound financial management of the Association

Vice President x 2—supportive of the presidents role and acts in the presidents role when required

Executive Member x 2– forms the Executive Committee

Canteen Convenor— oversees the running of the Canteen

Canteen Treasurer— responsible for the sound financial management of the canteen
