Reid’s Defibrillator Dream
Please continue to sell raffle tickets and return
tickets and money to school. If you would like
more tickets just speak to Malinda in the front
office.
The Defibrillator donated by Raine & Horne has
been mounted in an accessible position outside
our school office.
Naplan
Students in Year 3 and 5 have completed their
NAPLAN 2021 testing and received a celebration
donut from our staff (Lahtrell is missing from the
photo). Congratulations, I’m sure everyone did
their very best. Thanks Mrs Mcrae for the little
message to start the testing.

From the Principal
Dear Parents,
Year 6 are having lots of fun on their Canberra
Excursion. Our first day has been a long day of
travel but we are finally here and ready to see
all the sights in our nations Capital. We will keep
posting on Facebook so families can see what
we are up to.

K-4 Excursion
On Wed 26th May we are heading to the Capitol
Theatre Tamworth to watch ’The Very Hungry
Caterpillar’ stage show followed by a picnic at
the Marsupial Park. Please return notes ASAP.
Sick Children
Department of Education rules relating to COVID
are still in place. Please sign in with QR code if
you visit school. Please do not send students to
school with any cold and flu symptoms.
It is that time of year when children are getting
coughs and colds. Please keep them at home to
recover and avoid passing it on to our staff and
students.

Value of the Week
Our Value of the week is: Care for the School Environ-
ment
We are looking to catch students demonstrating this
and they will be rewarded with a Supakid award .
Debating
Mr Barry Burnett (Woolomin PS) will be running a de-
bating workshop at Duri PS on Friday 11th June. This
will involve 6 students from each of the schools in our
alliance. Students will learn debating skills and take
part in a mock debate.
Duri Public School
Dental Visit
On Thursday 12th August we will be receiving a visit
from Australian Dental Health NSW.Dental staff will
assess each child and contact parents to advise of
any further treatment recommended. Consent
forms are attached. Please fill in and return. Only
students with consent will be seeing the Dentists.
Bunnings BBQ
We are very fortunate in that we have been offered
another Bunnings BBQ on Sat 31st July. This is a
great fundraiser for our school with all money going
to support the students in our school. Please let
Malinda in the office know to put your name down
for a shift. The more helpers we get the shorter the
shifts for everyone.
Pie Drive
The Duri Public School Pie Drive is on again!
Please support us to raise lots of money for our
wonderful little school and enjoy some great tasting
pies.

Outdoor Movie Night
We will be having an Outdoor Movie Night again
this Year.

Year 6 100 Club
We have set up a 100 Club for our Year 6
students to start raising money for a gift for our
school. This will be drawn and presented at
Presentation Evening. Squares are $5 each. If you
would like to support our kids please send or bring
in $5 and choose your square.
