1. Thank you to all the parents who attended the

AGM of the P & C last week. The executive for 2014 is:

A reminder to all parents that the meetings are held on the third and 9th Tuesday of each term at 7.00pm in the common room.

2. Congratulations to Isabella Law who has been selected in the Riverina Girls Soccer Team to contest the CHS Championships next term. This is a great effort considering Isabella is a Year 8 student.

3. Students in Year 9 have received the results of ESSA (Science) test that they completed towards the end of last year. The results were outstanding with the school achieving above state average and well above region average. A great result.

4. The school has a large number of concrete pavers for sale. There are over 2000 and the price is 30 cents each or make an offer.

5. A very successful culture visit took place last week with a group of students from Japan in the school. Thanks to the host families and to Mrs Aygun for her organisation. The formal assembly was a highlight.

6.Congratulations to the SRC for their organisation of the Arm Wrestling Competition last week. It was good to see students, staff and spectators who were involved.

Duke of Edinburgh Congratulations to the 26 students who successfully completed their Qualifier Adventurous Journeys last week. The group spent three days and two nights on the Hume and Hovell Track between Tumbarumba and Lindon Roth Drive. Silver level: Sarah Bahr-Withers, Tristen Beaumont, Mitch Lauritzen, Hamish Mackinlay, Hayden Shearer, Madeline Winnett and Nic Wright. Bronze level: Charles Bahr, AJ Bender, Cassidy Bourke, Phoebe Crilly, David Damschke, Emily Jones, Teneale Keene, Nathan Klimpsh, Olivia Lieschke, Ellen Liston, Lachlan Mackinlay, Jaxon Neagle, Alex Nelson, Chris Papworth, James Pitson, Mackenzie Riddle, Ali Schulz, Damian Wardius and Nathan Wenke. With both journeys completed, the students are able to now concentrate on completing the other three sections of the award before the end of term three.

State CHS Swimming We wish Alyce Parker all the best in the State CHS Swimming Championships being held at Homebush at the beginning of week 11. Alyce will undertake seven events.

Riverina Trials A number of students have been nominated to attend

Riverina Trials in Rugby League (Wagga), Girls Under 16

AFL (Narrandra) and Boys Under 15 AFL (Lavington).

These trials are taking place during the last week of term

and students will need to make their own way there.

Parent—Student—Teacher Conferences

The first Parent, Student and Teacher Interview Conferences will take place on 10 April at 4.00pm-7.00pm in the school hall. It will be for Years 7-12.

SRC Arm Wrestling During lunch times last Thursday and Friday over 90 students and teachers participated in the inaugural SRC Arm Wrestling Competition. It was a huge hit; drawing quite a crowd and providing much debate and banter. Well done to all competitors.
