    My Topic: What is the different between traditional organization and

    organizational structure in modern business economy today? What are

    advantage and disadvantage of traditional organizational structure?

    economy are different which is express in many respects such as managers, staff

    (employees), space and time working...

    Companies have intraditional organization which have neatly arranged offices

    with table and furnitures are invidual. It always creates a solemn atmosphere in

    work.

    The offices havent flower or trees or colour light as organizational structure in

    modern business economy.

    In modern business economy, having comfortable space with modern equipment

    for staff in the company.

    Offices are celebrated clearn and beautiful with flowers, trees. It is very friendly

    with environment and comfortable.

    their boat chair or create room same the sea

    Staff can replace each other in working, a flexible time working staff have more

    freedom about time they work, they can come and go anytime their want but

    they still must complete work well. Moreover, they can work at home with

    internet or telephone instead of having to go to office as always.

    In modern organization have dining room, bed room, eating room for staff

    which encourage community between colleges and leader, college and college

    Comfortable and friendly working environment encourages employees to devote

    their abilities to serve the common benefits of the organization. That is driving

    force to help organizations achieve their goals.

    b. Manager.

    Different ways managers run in traditional organization by power control,

    hierarchies, authority and rules.

    So, the relationship between managers and employees, and employees together

    are not comfortable and friendly. They are not ready for communicate openly

    and share their ideas.

    Managers in modern run by prestige and trust. They dont use more power

    control to run company, they understand what staff need and they treat the same

    with every staff.

    Ifyou are manager in traditional, you will have a strong power, have the

    decision-making powers and not hand over authority. So you must take the

    main responsibility for making employees mistake which makes you tired and

    may be stress when you work under a lot of pressure.

    While in modern organization, the power of leaders is diminished, meant to the

    leader respects staffs views, makes decisions based on the contribution of

    collective organization.

    Managers and staff work together create friendly and openly enviroment. It

    helps everyone understand each other.

    Moreover, managers give excessive interest in staff this helps staff develop theirideas; sometime can organization some party to staff in company, provide

    science projects and encourage creative and new ideal when at work. It is

    motivation for staffs efforts in their work to prove full their abilities. Each year,

    leader set up the short targets and long targets for work.

    c. Staff (employees)

    In traditional structure: Staff isnt given a decision for your work. And mustwork under control of managers. While in modern structure, staff is

    independent, creative and responsibility which help they work more effectly.

    Addition they can offer new ideal if it is good and make their work better,

    motivate their creation.

    Staffs work in traditional company always work under pressure work whichrestrict and make staff is uninspired. It led to low effect work.

    In modern organization: The rigid rules were reduced to create comfortable

    working environment, sociable employees. The employees have many

    opportunities to express opinions, their capability, with managers solve the

    problem of helping company solve work faster and more effective.

    And they have opportunities to share, learn knowledge from other colleges, to

    raise the personal qualifications.

    The employees in modern organization often feel more vested in the companybecause they are given so much trust and responsibility. This motivates them

    to do better work. The company also benefits because response times tend to

    be very rapid.

    d. The result of working.

    The result of work in modern organization is better than traditionnal

    organization. the effectly and scient ways manage, frienfly and comfortable

    environment always good for working. So, today the company should create

    good and openly working environment.

    2. Advantage and disadvantage of traditional organizational structure

    a. Advantage of traditional organizational structure.

    The managers assign the work and responsibility to each staff, propose the

    standards and expect result. They are person who command tasks.

    The laws and penalties in the

    strict organization to pressure employees to comply with the rules. Staff knowstheir duties and performs faster and manager can monitor the process step by

    step

    Sometime, the prompt decision of the leader helps the organization to takeadvantage of business opportunities.

    Working time is strictly regulated, requiring time. So make good employees to

    work on time. Some people have private workspace so to focus on job.

    The culture of company is constructured by attitude between the managers and

    all staffs of company, such as politeness with manager, consitency of working

    style,

    Traditional organizational structure is suitable with the small company. The

    power of managers is ensured and the staffs can learn more skills and

    experiences of their manager.

    b. Disadvantage of traditional organizational structure.

    Traditionally, an organization has a clearly defined hierarchy and a line of

    command that places its employees under the direct supervision of, and

    therefore directly answerable to, the senior management. There are no middle

    managers. Employees have greater managing powers and more freedom to take

    decisions. This system works effectively in smaller companies. This type of an

    organization has its disadvantages that affects its overall style, culture and

    output.

    The Absence of Middle Management

    This is a major disadvantage, if the company is to plan for the future. A middle

    management does not just provide the link between leaders and employees, it

    also serves as the future senior management-in-training. In the absence of the

    middle chain of command, the traditional organization is left with a big void to

    fill in the case of senior management retirement. In a non-traditional

    organization, the middle management provide the link in the chain. Future

    planning in a traditional organization, therefore, is restrictive.

    Communication Delays

    It is difficult in a traditional organization for the senior management to

    effectively and constantly keep the lines of communication open and operative

    with its employees. There may be distance between the two tiers of the structurein such an organization and once again, the gap becomes a cause for concern.

    Such a problem does not arise in the non-traditional organization, where there is

    a system of hierarchy and employees are answerable in smaller groups to

    managers who are responsible for their work.

    Limited Growth

    Since the organizational structure of a traditional organization is limited, it

    hampers the upward growth of the company or organization. Even if there are no

    problems within the organization's leadership and employee structure, there may

    be situations where employees start to feel frustrated and restricted in the

    absence of a higher scale of achievement. This may lead to job dissatisfaction,

    inefficiency and lower output, which in turn will adversely affect the profits ofthe organization.

    Customers Can SufferBecause of the rigidity in structure of the traditional organization, coordinationand communication between the various channels within the organization andthe communication with customers can suffer. In this absence of a direct andclose line of command, project completion and accountability falls. This leads toa decrease in quality that directly affects the customers. For an organization to

    prosper, there have to be checks and balances, which are sometimes missing inthe traditional form of organization.
