Institutional ProfileAtria Institute of Technology (AIT) was established in 2000, and it started as an institute for engineering studies. It is presently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. The institute is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and accredited by NAAC. Over last more than one decade, this institute has proven its worth by producing industry leaders both in fields of technology and management. Presently, the institute has the following seven departments:

Atria Group has an eminent presence across Technology, Power, Hospitality, and Education sectors. Following are the subsidiaries of Atria Group across these four sectors:

Mr.Sunder Raju sets the direction for the Atria management committee and Atria Institution of Technology. He is also the Director of Atria Power. He plays a pivotal role in strategizing the growth areas for the group. He was a key player in setting up Sunray Computers in 1981, the first Indian company to introduce concepts of 32-bit architecture in UNIX OS.

I am delighted to welcome you to the Placement Program of Atria School of Management & Entrepreneurship. Our 17.5 Acre modern city campus is situated at Hebbal, in the center of the thriving metropolis of Bangalore and attracts bright young students from Karnataka as well as the rest of India. The School of Business Management at Atria was established in 2004 and has produced over 500 MBAs who are part of our proud Alumni network. Our admission criteria not only focus on a strong academic record and communication skills but also on overall smartness and quick thinking. The entire batch has been hand-picked based on potential to succeed in the highly competitive corporate world of today.

Purnajit Chatterjee

Dean, School of Management & EntrepreneurshipPurnajit is an established business leader in the IT Industry, who has led multi Million Dollar deals & business improvement initiatives across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, China / Hong Kong, Australia, UK and USA, over the last 30 years. He was at IBM for over 20 years in various roles such as Vice President, Associate Partner & General Manager and outside of IBM he has been a GM with Satyam Computer Services, SBU Head at BPL Telecom & Executive VP at Amsoft Information Services. Purnajit is an active Marketing Strategy mentor with 91Springboard and has mentored multiple companies from India and Singapore. He is also an Advisor with Ganymede Advisory Partners, Orion Consulting Services and Srushti Software Systems.

Purnajit has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, M.Sc. (Operations Research) from St. Stephen’s College - Delhi University (Gold Medalist) and a B.Sc.(Hons.) Mathematics from Jadavpur University, besides having completed his PMP certification from the US. He has also received a National Scholarship from Govt. of India for his Post Graduate studies.

Sanjay ShuklaAdjunct Faculty, School of Management & EntrepreneurshipSanjay, a global leader in the IT industry who led nationally important technology project like National Stock Exchange trading systems along with other large offshore and onshore business. Worked with the global teams in USA, UK, Switzerland, France, Barbados, Tunisia and others over last 30 years. He was at Fidelity Investment for 10 years in several roles go start business teams in India. He was also the first CTO for India at Fidelity Investment. Currently apart from teaching finance subject also mentor start-ups as chartered member from TIE. Passionate about investment, finance and higher education. He has M.Tech. from IIT- Kanpur, MBA from U21Global, Singapore (now GlobalNxt, Malaysia) and B.E. from VJTI (University of Mumbai). He is also SEBI registered Investment Advisor.

Dr. Avik SinhaFaculty, School of Management & EntrepreneurshipDr. Avik Sinha started his career with Tata Consultancy Services as Assistant System Analyst, and he headed the Balance Sheet Consolidation project in State Bank of India. After his doctoral studies, he started working with Accendere Knowledge Management Services as Research Mentor, and the vertical head of Management Research. He has worked in government projects and training administrative staffs. He is a Fellow in Economics from Indian Institute of Management Indore. Prior to that, he has done his PGDM in Finance and Service Operations from Institute of Technology and Management Mumbai, and BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering from National Institute of Technology Durgapur. He is also a National Merit Scholar.

Dr. Rashmi Singh Roy Adjunct Faculty, School of Management & EntrepreneurshipA competent and result-driven professional associated with service industry and having around 7 years of cross-functional experience in the field of Human Resource Management & General Administration, Dr. Rashmi Singh Roy started her career with ITC Ltd. - Hotels Division, a premier hospitality chain. Later, she got associated with other business groups like PVR Limited and The Golden Palms Hotel & Spa, a five-star Deluxe Hotel in Bangalore in the capacity of Manager - Human Resources. A certified SIX SIGMA GREEN BELT HOLDER, she has also worked with United Nations Information Council for the spread of education to distant areas. A graduate from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University, a post graduate from Miranda House, Delhi University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) from New Delhi Institute of Management. She also holds a PhD degree from Patna University.

Dr. Richa Das

Faculty, School of Management & EntrepreneurshipDr. Richa Das is a seasoned HR academic professional and has diverse experience across teaching and research. She has published research papers in journals of world-wide repute and has a combined teaching and research experience of more than 6 years. She has done her Ph.D from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, MBA from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and B.A. (Hons.) Economics from Banaras Hindu University, besides Diploma in Russian.

Kamal DasAdjunct Faculty, School of Management & EntrepreneurshipKamal Das is an experienced business leader in the finance and education Industry who has worked across the globe- India, the U.S., Hong Kong and Germany, over the last 16 years. He has worked for investment banks (Barclays Capital, Lehman Brothers, J.P. Morgan), Indian subsidiaries of financial institutions (Moody’s, Standard and Poor’s) as well as in a venture capital fund (Intellectual Ventures). He has taken sessions, seminars, and multi-credit courses at ICAI and several reputed B-schools for students in Finance, Strategy, Gamification, and Analytics.

He has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, and B.Tech from Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Amit Kishore Adjunct Faculty, School of Management & EntrepreneurshipAmit Kishore is an Adjunct Professor in the Digital Marketing area at MICA in Ahmedabad. He is also the Course Director for the Online Certification Program in Digital Marketing. He also conducts Management Development Programs (MDPs) for corporates on various topics in digital marketing. He is also a visiting faculty at FLAME University in Pune.

When he is not teaching, Amit runs a digital marketing consultancy – Plan B Digital – as its CEO, based out of Bangalore. Amit has over 21 years of experience across geographies & cultures in India, Middle East, South East Asia, and West Africa. After graduating from MICA in 1997, he has worked with companies like MediaCom/Grey, Microland, TAM Media, TNS, Lintas, Universal McCann, Omnicom Media Group, Infosys, Dentsu, etc.

Sameer Kakkar Adjunct Faculty, School of Management & EntrepreneurshipSameer is a new age entrepreneur who has founded couple of startups (Traveo Soft & Unnagi Consulting). He has over 9 years of professional experience in Digital Marketing working for various fortune 500 clients as part of Infosys Consulting and Cognizant Consulting. He also adjunct faculty at NMIMS Bangalore and Atria institute of Management. He is also certified Google Adwords and Search professional. He has MBA from MDI Gurgaon and engineering degree from YMCA Faridabad.

Archana Motta Faculty, School of Management & EntrepreneurshipMs. Archana R Motta is a Marketing and Advertising professional with over 20 years of teaching experience. She has an MPhil and MBA from PSGR Krishnammal College, Coimbatore. She secured a University Rank from Bharathiar University during her MBA. She has done her UGC NET certification. Prior to that she holds a BBM from PSGR Krishnammal College, Coimbatore. During her stint in the advertising industry, in the role of senior account executive, she has handled varied accounts in FMCG, Apparels and Industrial products. She is very proactive and with a social bent of mind, she has been at the core of organizing various events be it Technical, Cultural or Social where her organising and interpersonal skills have led to the successful conduct of the events. Being passionate about teaching, she has produced almost 100% results in most of the subjects that she has handled. She has guided more than 100 students for their MBA Projects.
