SCHOLARSHIP DESCRIPTION:

ObjectiveThe purpose of this scholarship is to select two individuals based on their submission following the criteria below. The selected applicants will be awarded (1) $500 scholarship. There will be two scholarships awarded.

QualificationsAny student applying for the scholarship must at the time of application and award meet the fol-lowing qualifications: be a student of the University of New Mexico (undergraduate or a non-de-gree student who has not received a baccalaureate degree). The student will have attended UNM for at least one semester prior to application, with at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point av-erage and be a full time student at UNM, with twelve (12) credit hours minimum.*All ASUNM Officials (elected or appointed), employees, and agents of ASUNM are prohibited from applying for and/or receiving these scholarships.*All Applications must be returned to the ASUNM Office (SUB, Room 1016) for best consideration by 5:00 p.m. on April 16th, 2018.

Application Process

To be considered for selection, applicants must complete the following by 5:00 p.m. 4/16/2018.• Application Page (Page 3)• ASUNM Grade Release Form (Page 4)• Narrative (Typed, 500 word maximum)• Photo Sample (Attached to scholarship

form)

Selection ProcessThe chosen artist will be selected by a committee of Senators using the following criteria:

• The applicant must meet ASUNM qualifica-tions for awarding scholarships as outlined in the ASUNM Law Book.

• The applicant must complete all required scholarship forms.

• The applicant must invest creative insight into their application.

• The applicant must submit the application by the deadline.

ASUNM is awarding one (1) $1,000 scholarship to a deserving University of New Mexico Under-graduate to be selected by an ASUNM committee and meet the below criteria. The scholarship will be awarded in the spring 2018 semester.

1.
