50 years after it was first launched, Amul's salefigures have jumped from 1000 tones a year in1956 to over 25,000 tones a year in 2006. No other
brand comes even close to it. The total capacity for handling milk is around
10.16 million liters everyday.
It is the largest organization in FMCG industry
engaged in marketing milk and milk products.
