Anglican Tradition• All Saints’ Episcopal Church: All Saints’ Episcopal Church is the School’s parent church. The School was created in 1951 and was housed in the Church.
• Advent: Advent marks the beginning of the church year, four Sundays before Christmas and ends on Christmas Eve. The word “Advent” means “coming” or “arrival” in Latin and is a time to anticipate Christ’s presence and live in expectation of His Second Coming.
• Birthday Blessing: Early Childhood and Lower School students are recognized on their birthday in Chapel. The priest offers a prayer, which is followed by a birthday blessing song.
• Blessing of the Pets: Held each October to commemorate St. Francis of Assisi Day, pets are brought by All Saints’ students to McNair Stadium at the end of the school day for a special blessing from All Saints’ chaplains.
• Eucharist: Once a week, K-12 students gather in Chapel for Christian worship and the sacrament of Holy Communion. The term “Eucharist” is Greek, meaning “thanksgiving,” and all baptized Christians who are permitted to receive Communion in their own church are welcome to receive sacrament at the School. The service consists of traditional and contemporary music, Scripture readings, a brief sermon, the prayers of the people and Holy Communion.
• Godly Play: The method of Christian education and spiritual direction for children used at All Saints’ Episcopal Church in the Sunday School curriculum. The School currently offers Godly Play once a week in Pre-K through Grade 2. Each class follows the pattern of Holy Eucharist: Getting ready (Opening Acclamation), listening and responding to a Bible story (the Liturgy of the Word), sharing the feast (Holy Communion), and saying goodbye (Blessing and Dismissal).
• Lent: The 40 days from Ash Wednesday through Holy Saturday, leading up to Easter Sunday, Christians observe a time of “self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and meditating on God’s Holy Word,” (Book of Common Prayer, p. 265).
• Lessons and Carols: A traditional Anglican service of worship first held as a Christmas Eve service in 1918 at King’s College Chapel in Cambridge, England. Traditionally, nine lessons are heard, alternating between instrumental, congregational and choral music provided by students, faculty and staff.

Our strong sense of community means that we learn together, grow together, celebrate our collective successes and take pride in supporting our School. There are many ways to support All Saints’, both financially and by getting involved as a volunteer. We value gifts of time, talent and treasure, as they all serve to enrich and strengthen our community. Visit ASESFTW.org or contact Abby Smith [email protected] to learn more.
• PTO (The Parent Teacher Organization) supports faculty, staff, students and parents by helping to organize numerous activities throughout the year including Class Liaisons, Book Fair, Parent/Faculty Speaker Forum, Harvest Fair and the Faculty/Staff Appreciation Lunch.
• FAME (Fine Arts Matters in Education) promotes and enhances the Fine Arts at All Saints’ in the visual arts, dance, music, musical theatre, drama, photography, film and design.
• The Booster Club promotes School spirit, character development and the physical well-being of students through financial and other forms of support for physical education and athletic programs in every Division.
Financial giving to All Saints’ can be done in several ways. Give to the Annual Fund, support an endowment, set up an honorarium or indicate planned giving by filling out the online giving form or by contacting Susan H. Doyle, Director of Institutional Advancement, (817)560-5700, ext. 319 or e-mail [email protected].
One of the hallmarks of our educational model is the close-knit community at All Saints’ Episcopal School.
Support All Saints’
Lights On! April 4, 6 p.m. Varsity Gym
The Annual Fund is the School’s most important ongoing fundraising activity. Each year, we ask all members of our School community to make a tax-deductible gift to supplement tuition income. Gifts to the Annual Fund support the general operations of the School including academic and co-curricular programs, educational technology and professional development for our faculty. All money raised is spent in the same academic year. The Annual Fund impacts every program, classroom and student at All Saints’. Annual Fund gifts typically range from $100 to over $30,000, and every School family is encouraged, and expected, to give to the best of their ability. Having 100% parent participation provides us substantial credibility in the community, and outside funders give more weight to schools who have 100% Annual Fund participation. This translates to greater resources and control over our annual budget. Last year, the Annual Fund raised $685,000 necessary dollars from parents, grandparents, alumni, parents of alumni, vestry, faculty/staff and friends of the School. Annual Fund donors and volunteers make a tremendous impact in the life of our School! For more information about All Saints’ Annual Fund, call Joy Rich, Annual Giving Manager, at (817) 560-5700, ext. 359 or email [email protected].
