The Formative Years

It all began a long, long time ago in a

galaxy far, far away…

Brooklyn – 1933.

Ellin spent her summers on a farm in Connecticut. In addition to milking cows and tending to her chores, she took good care of her horse, Patches.

The Medical Years1956 – 1998

In 2005, Ellin was deeply moved by the devastation from Hurricane Katrina.

So she decided to do something about it.

Benefits were held. Donations of money and clothing were collected. And, of course, quilts were made by the pattern-load.

From Russia With Love

Have kidneys, will travel.

Orenburg, Russia – 1995.

Ellin helped make it happen over a 10 year period with

more than 10 different trips to Russia. (Talk about frequent

flyer miles!)

Of course, seeing the sights of St. Petersburg, one of the

most beautiful cities in the world, was a major side

benefit!
