NEW BULLETIN FORMAT INTRO: On the first 2 pages of the new bulletin, you’ll find our Highlight of the Week and information about
Worship and Sacraments at St. Vincent de Paul.
The Highlight is a replacement for the “Splash Page” that was formerly on page 3
— a space to give more details about a
particular ministry or event.
In the Worship & Sacraments section, we’ll introduce the readings for the upcoming week and include articles about the various Sacraments
celebrated here at St. Vincent de Paul. The Seven Sacraments are the outward signs instituted by Christ to give grace to us, and
therefore are vital to the life of our Church.
Finally, these pages will include a calendar of
events for the upcoming week at our parish.

STEWARDSHIP NEW BULLETIN FORMAT INTRO:
In the Prayer, Participation, & Generosity section, you’ll find ways to fulfill God’s call
to serve others. Whether you serve with prayer, donations, or the contribution of your time and talents, every one of us can find a way to love
our neighbor. Consider this section your “Call to Action!” Plan to check it each weekend
to find your opportunity to serve God
by serving others in the week ahead.
“So when he had washed their feet and put his garments back on and reclined at table again,
he said to them, “Do you realize what I have done for you? You call me ‘teacher’ and ‘master,’
and rightly so, for indeed I am. If I, therefore, the master and teacher, have washed your feet,
you ought to wash one another’s feet. I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for
you, you should also do." -- John 13:12-15

"Who do you say that I am?" Jesus asks Peter in today's Gospel. Does my use of the gifts and tal-ents entrusted to me accurately reflect my answer to that same question? How willing am I to deny myself, take up my cross and follow in His steps?

BIZAA SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
We continue to thank the numer-ous parishioners who have chosen to sponsor the education of the victims of child trafficking and
forced labor in Africa through our parish international Outreach –
BIZAA. If you are moved to be a sponsor for any of the children on our waiting list for school enrollment this fall, here are
some options for your prayerful consideration:
Sponsorship rates: Primary - $650/year; Secondary - $800/year; Vocational - $1350/year
Option A - Full Annual Sponsorship: This option gives you the opportunity to give “a hook and not a fish” to a desperate child with a contribution of the full sponsor-ship amount each year for your chosen child’s educa-tion.
Option B - Periodic Installment Sponsorship: This op-tion gives you the opportunity to gradually brighten the darkened future of a child for a better world with your monthly or quarterly contributions each year for the sponsorship of a child’s education.
Payment Frequency (choose one)
Monthly ($55.00 x 12 for Primary); ($67.00 x 12 for Secondary); ($113.00 x 12 for Vocational)
Quarterly ($163.00 x 4 for Primary); ($200.00 x 4 for Secondary); ($338.00 x 4 for Vocational)
Option C - My Education Club: This option is an oppor-tunity for you to save a child’s life, make a difference in a poor community and make our world safer by forming an education club with your family, friends, neighbor, coworkers, schools, book club, men’s group, women’s group, etc.,, to contribute towards the sponsorship of your assigned child per year. Each group is regarded as a club with a volunteer club leader. The Club leader is responsible for recruiting members, collecting and sending sponsorship contributions to BIZAA, and shar-ing BIZAA updates with club members. Every member receives a tax/acknowledgement letter at the end of the year.
Enclose checks payable to BIZAA (write “Child Sponsorship” in the memo field)
for your gift and send it in by July 1 each year. 1,971.41 Current Year-to-Date

CHILDREN SPACES DURING MASS
We want to take this time to welcome all families with young children to our par-ish. Your presence helps to make our parish feel so alive. We always welcome children to our liturgies but we know that they don’t always want to be in the large Church. Here are a few options to help you with your Mass experience:
The Children’s Chapel: This small room in the back of Church is a great place to be with your family and feel a part of the larger Church. The glass and sound system allows you to fully participate while giving a bit of space for them to be kids. There are also books to help keep them entertained.
Nursery: During the 9 AM Mass, the nursery (Community Room) will be open for all young children (6 months to 5 years).
We will be following the same schedule as our Sunday school program, the Mini Vinnie's (the schedule for this can be found at www.saintvdp.org/sunday-school).
Community Room: During the other Mass times (5 PM on Saturday, and 7:30 AM and 11 AM on Sunday) the Com-munity Room will be open. This space is available to you for your children should they need a break from the large Church space or the Children’s Chapel.
We have added sound so that you will be able to hear the Mass as your child has a chance to stretch their legs, play with the toys that are there, and be able to move about as they need.
CEMETERY NOTICE
Effective July 1, 2016, rates will increase by 2% for the St. Vincent Cemetery gravesites, columbarium, and interment fees.
Please contact the church office with any questions.

Holy Day Masses as announced.
Thank you
for your
input!
A sincere thanks to everyone who participated in the parish-wide planning study at St. Vin-
cent de Paul. The survey is now closed and our development firm, the Steier Group, is in the process of producing its final report. Next week representa-tives of the organization will provide a formal presen-tation to parish leadership to share their findings and recommendations. Shortly after, we will share the results with you and our plans for moving forward.
Again, thank you for your feedback and for participat-ing in this important effort.
