2. EXODUS 20:1-17 (NIV) And God spoke all these words: "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. "You shall have no other gods before me. "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand [generations] of those who love me and keep my commandments. 3. EXODUS 20:1-17 (NIV) "You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. 4. EXODUS 20:1-17 (NIV) "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you. "You shall not murder. "You shall not commit adultery. "You shall not steal. "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor." 5. THE OFFERTORY For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, says the LORD of hosts. 6. THE LORDS SUPPER The purpose of the Lord's Supper is to receive from Christ the nourishment and strength and hope and joy that come from feasting our souls on all that He purchased for us on the cross, especially His own fellowship. Partake the Elements as Received 7. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT For many generations the Ten Commandments were considered a standard part of a good American education. 8. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT The sad reality is that most American children will grow up and know next to nothing about the Ten Commandments. 9. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT They Provide an Objective Standard of Right and Wrong. 10. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT Someone has said that since the beginning of time man has passed 35 million laws 11. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT That absolute standard must be, and can only be, God. 12. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT We are not saved by keeping the Ten Commandments. 13. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT Although we are not saved by the Ten Commandments, we are kept safe by them. 14. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT They Point Out Gods Road Map to Happiness. 15. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT Blessed are they who put God first. Blessed are they who need no substitutes. Blessed are they who honor Gods name. Blessed are they who honor Gods day. 16. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT Blessed are they who honor their parents. Blessed are they who value life. Blessed are they who keep their marriage vows. 17. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT Blessed are they who respect the property of others. Blessed are they who love the truth. Blessed are they who learn the art of contentment. 18. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT "You shall have no other Gods before me. 19. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT You must have a God. You must have only one God. You must take God as He has revealed Himself. 20. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT They believed the First Commandment. 25. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT The First Commandment says, Put Him first and you will find life. 26. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT Be sure you have built your life and life eternal on the right foundation.
