Coca-Cola advert plan

Audience

On my poster the primary target audience I plan to aim for will be:- Young people- Aged 12-20I also plan on aiming for a secondary target audience which I believe will be:- Adults- Aged 40-50

Slogan

When making my slogan there are several key elements I would like too focus on: - Catchy- Flows well- Product related- Target audienceKeeping to these points should allow me to create a slogan that will stick in peoples minds.

Images

When choosing the images for my advert I would like to make them fit these elements:- Bright (stands out)- Colourful- Child friendly - Product related - Eye catching- Creative (target audience)I would also like to have my advert centred around a main image on the poster and advergame.

Colour schemes

I plan on making the colour scheme for my advert centred round the product but still hitting my target audience, I will keep it full of colour but still keep the red as the main focus, and also only too choose colours which resemble happiness and joy.

Mind Map• Strengths of using this method-using a mind map is a fast and easy way of

jotting down various ideas, also if you wish to add more to it in a later date it is simple enough to do so. And in the end it is a perfect overview of your ideas.

• Weaknesses of using this method- creating a mind map of your own may be difficult for someone else to read or understand, also it requires brain storming ideas which sometimes even depending on your mood can be a struggle.

• Did you like using this method? Why?- this method is personally my favourite to use because it is easy for me to understand at the end and it gives me breath ideas which I can then easily expand on using creativity.

Mood Board• Strengths of using this method- mood boards help to set a

basic layout and design of the advert before it is made, and are also fun and easier to make.

• Weaknesses of using this method- they may be hard to understand or visualize for another person and also aren’t very well detailed or give off enough information.

• Did you like using this method? Why? Yes I like this method cause it allows you to place a basic design and allows you to be far more creative with you work.

Style Sheet

• Strengths of using this method- this method allows me to finish my product faster giving me many ideas of colours and fonts as well as how they all look together.

• Weaknesses of using this method- the problem with the method is it doesn't’t give you much creativity as well as not allowing you to place all your ideas only the colours and fonts.

• Did you like using this method? Why?- I do like this method it allows me to already have my fonts ready as well as gives me a brief idea of how the colours are going to work together.

Layout PlanI plan on making the colours coming out the bottle form the Olympic rings.

I want the style to be a more cartoony style similar to this bottle

The text is going to be in this style fitting the art of the poster

I plan on making the posters layout more abstract and indie, to help appeal out to my primary target audience but still keeping it eye-catching and appealing to others.

I plan on making the background colour black, this is so the main colours of the poster jump out at you more and seem brighter and more fluorescent then they are.

Layout Plan

• Strengths of using this method- this method is a great way of expressing your plan, it allows you to see exactly how its briefly going to look as a whole.

• Weaknesses of using this method- I don’t think there is too many weaknesses but it defiantly is a hard way of planning your method from scratch, also it may not look right as a layout compared to the actual product and you may scrap your idea.

• Did you like using this method? Why?- I don’t mind it but it is a bit tricky to make as well as quite a time consuming technique.

Brainstorm

• Strengths of using this method– It helps collect all your ideas together– It gives you a brief idea of what content you need

• Weaknesses of using this method– You may not have fully developed your ideas yet– You may not be able to complete your ideas due to time or

Informal Pitch

• Strengths of using this method– It allowed me to understand what and how I was going to

make my advert and gave me good ideas to the content, such as adding coca cola at the end.

• Weaknesses of using this method– It only gives me one persons perspective and feedback and

this limits who it will attract as my audience was wider than just one age range.

• Did you like using this method? Why?– Yes as it was useful and helped me understand the project

brief clearer.

Formal Proposal

• Strengths of using this method– It helps you think through all the elements you

may have to consider in your project• Weaknesses of using this method– It is time consuming and may not fully represent

your final product• Did you like using this method? Why?• No because it was very wordy

Initial Reaction

• After I was briefed about the project I know I need to make a pixel based side scrolling game especially for Coca-Cola, the canvas must be 320(H) by 480(W) pixels. My first in initial idea is a town street covered by spray painted walls and dead trees with a punk as the main character, the aim of the game will be for the punk too kick a coke can from one end of the street into a bin promoting Coca-Cola as-well as anti littering.

Page 16: 1. communication methods pro forma(1) (1)

Initial Reaction

• Strengths of using this method-The strengths of this method to me are how much detail you are able to go into on the game and so you have exactly what you want written down as example.

• Weaknesses of using this method- My major concern of this method is you cant visually see what you want and cant see if it will actually work.

• Did you like using this method? Why?- I don’t mind the method cause you can go into mass detail but the main issue is you may not be able too actually turn words into a working game that looks right.

Sketches

Sketches

• Strengths of using this method– You can easily plan out what you are going to make

and it gives you a strong visual representation• Weaknesses of using this method– This method is time consuming because you may

not be able to turn the drawing into pixels as easy.• Did you like using this method? Why?- yes

because it helps you see what your product may look like before you waste time starting it.
