Advantage It creates a mini short video and some GIFF are usually are creative.GIF are sometimes great for sending messages to people expressing their emotion in a creative way. GIFF also includes transparent background.

Disadvantage The disadvantage of GIFFs that they are usually in bad image quality.

Used For/Example Bitmap is pretty much similar to TIFF and GIFFs.
