When gathereing feedback from the
questionnaire I made sure to keep it fair
which meant asking 5 boys and 5 girls. By
doing this my feedback isnt biased and is
constructive.

One of the main features, or a popular feature in magazines is gossip whether it is celebrity or
general new gossip around the globe. What I got back feedback wise was that it was a fifty fifty
tie of liking gossip and disliking it.
do you like reading gossip
yes
no
What I mainly Gathered from this is
gossip is a expendable feature of a
magazine as both half the readers would
love it and half would hate it altogether
and I think by the fact that this is a
college magazine it would have to be
college themed like places to go etc.

Hobbies are a great way to learn what the target audience is interested in this way you can put
peoples interests in the magazine.
Most of the audience main interests were; watching films/tv, sports, gaming or reading. Those
hobbies are also great as they can integrate academically in a college magazine

The main reason for all this feedback is to find out what people would want in a college magazine. So
this of all the questions were one of the most important. Knowing that de-stress techniques was one of
the most popular choices of student info that they would want in a magazine makes it known to me to
feature that within my magazine as well as revision tips.

This was a good response because I got a list of individual bands that the audience liked, however
when doing a graph I put the bands and singers in categories of genres. This helped because I
learnt that most of the audience like listening to indie music rather than rock and pop.

Whilst finding out what interests the audience, you also must find out what repels it my Intel
suggests using pop and gossip is something that is seemingly repellent to the students
It sounds like a tiny part or not an integrate part of a magazine. Colour is something that can stands out to
students, when asking on behalf I found out that they didnt want extremely bright colours but in particular
the colour pink.
But to maintain the students interest in a college magazine you also want to apply upcoming events like
concerts or Festivals Which 9/10 agreed they wanted in the magazine.
What I got from asking about what people look for in a magazine is a good image and music/bands they are
interested in as being the most relevant in a magazine.

In conclusion
From looking in depth from all my results I will make a college magazine that does represent the
college fundamentals but also has the hobbies and interest of the students. This can be done by
competitions, reviews in upcoming movies or issues that relate to both the college and festivals.
Like one issue could be a fresher's week issue and another could be a festival issue. You want to
create a way in making the magazine interesting but also helpful to the audience without making
them want to repel them from reading it,By doing all these things I will acomplish making acollege magazine that students will want to read.
