Pages vs. Personal Profiles

Profiles represent individuals and must be held under an individual name, while Pages allow an organization, business, celebrity, or band to maintain a professional presence on Facebook.

Facebook obviously is not enforcing this rule right now, but they will get around to it and when they do, they will shut down those profile.

Companies should take the time to get it right now before their community disappears.

Facebook Page Update

Starting August 23, 2010, we'll be simplifying your Page to make it easier to browse:

All custom tabs will be narrowed to 520 pixels.

If you have a custom tab, visit your tab for a preview of how your content fits in the new layout -- make adjustments as needed. Facebook will show the old tab width until August 23.
