JAM ENGLISH

Rules
1. Any number of participants can participate. The best 5 participants will be shortlistedafter a series of rounds for the finals.
2. Every "round" lasts one minute of speaking time in which the participants are given atopic to banter on.
3. The idea is to interrupt a speaker whenever he/she makes a grammatical, syntacticalor usage error. It can also be done if the speaker seems to borrow someone else's ideaor an old idea within a round.
4. Every time a justifiable interruption is made, the interrupter gets a point and gets themicrophone. For any wrong interruptions, a point is deducted and the interruptedparticipant is allowed to continue.
5. The person with the maximum number of points at the end of the session wins. TheJAM masters decision will be final.

Topic/Theme: Teams are free to choose their own theme. Competition: Teams may enact a street play based on their own topic. The teams
are free to adopt the topic in their own choice. Teams should create their ownscript.

Teams using any props / Costume / Dressing must bring all their equipments
and must be ready well in time as per instructions of the organizer. No Propsor costume or any material will be provided by the host college. No Time for Stage practice / final rehearsal will be given during the fest. Decision of Judges will be final and binding on all teams.

Rules
Number of participants per team should be from 6 to 14(min 6(2 for backstagerepresentation)).
Time for each team is limited to 15 minutes + 3 minutes for stage setting andclearing the stage. Violating from the time limit will result in elimination. The teams need to clean up any mess or trash, etc. that you may use or makeduring your skit and all teams need to have representation backstage to clean the stageafter their teams program Leaving the stage empty for more than 30 seconds in between the sequencesresults in elimination. Pre-recorded vocals are not permitted. Pre-recorded music, musical instrumentsand background scores are permitted. Microphones will be provided.
Any form of obscenity will result in debarring the team from participation. Lip sync is not allowed No props will be provided by the coordinators

First of all, a pre survey is done and less weightage is given for most common answerand more weightage for rare answerRound 1
Answers obtained from survey are pre distributed to one of the participants withoutother participants knowledge. For every question, each of the participants can come outwith the answer that they feel is more apt from the given options. The person who hasgot the correct answer is expected to play in an intelligent manner so that others dontfind that the answer is with him/her. At the end of every round, participants are given achance to claim who has got the correct answer. The participants can initially come outwith a doubt claim, on who has got the correct answer. After the doubt claim, the personwho has been claimed is given a chance to defend himself/herself. After defense theparticipants can come out with a sure claim. Sure claim has got double points, for theperson who claims, if answer is found to be correct and person who has been claimedto have the answer is eliminated. Otherwise, the person who presents the claim iseliminated. If more than one person has got the same claim and if it is wrong, theperson having least mark among them is eliminated and others suffer penalty. Thisprocess continues until the Bluff master comes to scene.
Rules A person can claim only one participant at a time Defense is allowed only for a fixed time Weightage to answer is as per the pre survey. If no claim is put forward, the person who secures least score in that particular
