What is blogging?

Why blog?

•  An authentic audience for your work.

•  A place to put all the digital content you are creating. •  Helps you to reflect on your learning. •  Creates a postive digital footprint.

•  Promotes digital literacy.

How to get started. ●  Go blog surfing. Look at some other intermediate

school blogs and see what they are sharing. The first fifteen - http://tisthompson.blogspot.co.nz/ Rm 15 Pt. England School - http://pesking.blogspot.co.nz/ Mokoia Int - http://mokoiaint-p3.blogspot.co.nz/ ●  Think about what you like/don’t like about these blogs. ●  Think about what you are proud of and want to share with the world!

•  Take lots of photos.

Talk about your learning.

Talk about your school life.

1. Be Clear (don’t presume readers know things)

2. Be Correct (no one wants to read errors)

3. Be Polite (you are talking to the world now…)

4. Be Postive (what message are you sending to the world?)

Now get posting!

Comments.

Learn how to comment. Comments are moderated by your teacher. Parents can comment as name/url and just put their name and leave the url space blank. Get overseas family/friends to comment.
