What is PeopleSoft?What is PeopleSoft?PeopleSoft is a comprehensive software package providing management solutions in finance, human resource, and customer/student administration for , ,large corporations, governments and post secondary education.
PeopleSoft is replacing DataTel as MacEwan's Enterprise Resource Plan (ERP).
PeopleSoft was founded in 1987. In 2005 the company was acquired by Oracle Corporation. The PeopleSoft name and product line are now marketed by Oracle.

An individual may have 1 or more roles in PeopleSoft 9.0

Worklists are prioritized lists of the work items that a person (or group of people) has to do.
When work is routed (assigned) to a PeopleSoft user, it is put in the user’s worklist.

The MacEwan PeopleSoft application is a “web based” application. This means you will access MacEwan PeopleSoft through an internet browser on the internet y p g– either Internet Explorer or FireFox.
PeopleSoft and pop-up blockers do not like each other. You will need to disable pop up blockers for all PeopleSoft pagespop-up blockers for all PeopleSoft pages.

CTRL+Z Accesses the menu search box.
After pressing the desired key combination, press Enter to carry out the action.

Included in the MacEwan UPK training environment are:
• interactive simulations of the live MacEwan PeopleSoft application• interactive simulations of the live MacEwan PeopleSoft application
• access to documentation such as a Quick Reference Guide (QRG), training manual and process guide for each MacEwan PeopleSoft module
