What is PeopleSoft?What is PeopleSoft?PeopleSoft is a comprehensive software package providing management solutions in finance, human resource, and customer/student administration for , ,large corporations, governments and post secondary education.

PeopleSoft is replacing DataTel as MacEwan's Enterprise Resource Plan (ERP).

PeopleSoft was founded in 1987. In 2005 the company was acquired by Oracle Corporation. The PeopleSoft name and product line are now marketed by Oracle.

A role is a class of users who perform the same type of work. There are many types of roles in PeopleSoft.

Roles direct work to types of people rather than individuals, making a workflow more flexible and easier to maintain

The MacEwan PeopleSoft application is a “web based” application. This means you will access MacEwan PeopleSoft through an internet browser on the internet y p g– either Internet Explorer or FireFox.

PeopleSoft and pop-up blockers do not like each other. You will need to disable pop up blockers for all PeopleSoft pagespop-up blockers for all PeopleSoft pages.

Please call the Technology Support Desk at 4357 for assistance in disabling or removing pop-up blockers.
