Practice specific phonics ideas that I have observed Kenna struggling with including identifying long vowels, “ay” sounds and past/present tense.
Find books that will motivate Kenna to read, specifically begging chapter books about horses.

I will encourage Kenna to use our class writing checklist which focus on capital letters in proper nouns, at the start of sentences, and not having capital letters in the middle of words or sentences.
I will also provide Kenna with a checklist at the bottom of her paper which will have this same checklist so she can check it off as she re-reads her paper. I will encourage Kenna to use this checklist during conferences
I can use my conference time with Kenna to go over the use of capital letters in regards to her writing.
