Event Report
AIESEC in Delhi IIT Founded in 1981, by Mr. Arjun Bhagat, CEO Calibrated Group, AIESEC Delhi IIT (a.k.a. DI), is the pioneering Local Committee of AIESEC in India. Since its inception, AIESEC in Delhi IIT has played a key role in the success of AIESEC in India. With a vision of creating Leaders for a positive Impact on society AIESEC in Delhi IIT has constantly been striving to develop the potential of young individuals by providing them with ample growth opportunities. Here in AIESEC Delhi IIT, the membership seeks to outperform expectations and challenges perceptions. Through the various learning networks run by AIESEC DelhiIIT, our members develop a global perspective and lead the change they want to see.

Youth to Business Forum 2012 Mission: In a country where 67% of its population is below 30 years of
age, engaging the youth is central to its progress. As India prepares for
its fastest growth over the next three decades, we along with AIESEC in
Delhi IIT aim to bring together some of the brightest young minds all
over the world to engage in business, education, and innovation. Our
main aim was to supplement the education system for these students in
Delhi and make them equipped with soft and professional skills that they
can use in their Corporate life ahead.
Concept: Business Case Competition.
Youth to Business 2012: The annual business conclave hosted by AIESEC aimed to create a corporate atmosphere among various delegates where they compete and also learn via workshops and seminars and on the job task.
Youth to business 2012 is a platform for the youth to engage & develop their potential through a series of competitions & training seminars in over 50 colleges to qualify for the final showdown of AIESEC in Delhi IIT’s BIGGEST event of the year Youth to Business - Business Case Competition. It is an opportunity for college students to engage with the corporate world and take a step closer to their dreams through the various phases of our event, including a series of fun competitions and solving of case studies related to THEIR field.
THE 4 PHASES OF YOUTH TO BUSINESS FORUM
Phase 1
•Competitions in 50 top colleges of Delhi.
•50 Colleges x 30 Teams each college x 4 = 6000 Students.
•Online outreach, Campus Promotions, off Campus Promotions = 4000
•Total Outreach = 10,000 Student from Top Delhi Colleges
Phase 2
•CORPORTE CONCLAVE
•Called 30 corporates and had an AIESEC seminar with them.
•Would help us in future partnerships.
Phase 3
•MENTORSHIP :
•This is the phase where selected teams are MENTORED by industry Specialists.
•This Mentorship will be according to the fields chosen by those 300 Students.
Phase 4
•FINAL FACE OFF
•This is the final day of the Competiton where the Business Case Competiton will be discussed and winners will be announced.
PHASE 1: YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
AIM: First step toward becoming first choice partners for the youth.
AIESEC in Delhi IITs Youth to Business Forum 2012 helped deliver more than 1200
Youth Empowerment Sessions in over 50 colleges spread over Delhi and NCR.
WHAT WE ACHIEVED:
This was also a selection round for people to be selected in the Youth to Business Competition. The Yes were divided into 3 Parts.
1. Session on Business Communication, LR, BA etc 2. Team Activity to test their Business Acumen, communication skills and sales
skills. 3. Questionnaire to test their Business Awareness, Logical Reasoning, General
Awareness etc.

PHASE 2: CORPORATE CONCLAVE
AIM: Become first choice partners among the corporates. Get mentors for application of Learning Networks and to get new leads for GIP ICX.
On 25th August 2012 AIESEC in Delhi IIT held a Corporate Conclave at ISBF, Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi.
The Corporate Conclave was an initiative taken under the Brand Name Youth to Business Forum 2012 in Association with Dettol.
50 Corporates from various walks of life joined us for the corporate enclave.
WHAT WE ACHIEVED:
50 Corporates
•Attended the seminar.
30 Mentors
•Helped in the implementation of Learning Networks.
20 iGIP leads
•Want to hire international interns through AIESEC in Delhi IIT.
PHASE 3: MENTORSHIP
AIM: To train and develop the students that were selected in Phase 1 of youth to business forum 2012 in their field of Study.
The students were provided Mentorship in the following fields by INDUSTRY SPECIALISTS.
WHAT WE ACHIEVED:

PHASE 4: THE MAIN EVENT
Youth to Business Forum 2012 Main Event was held on 3rd September 2012 at India Islamic Cultural Centre, Lodhi Road. 300 people attended the Event out of which 50 were corporates.
The Day started at 11 am when hoards of students started entering India Islamic Cultural Centre to witness Youth to Business Forum 2012. These students belonged to top colleges of Delhi and IP University and other private colleges.
We started off the event with a speech by Mr Hindol Sengupta. He spoke about Liberalisation and the Economic Conditions. He announced the winners for the field of Finance Ms Shree Mongia and Ms Mahima Dossoria, both belonging to prestigious colleges of Delhi. His excellent style of speaking left
Mr Hindol Sengupta is the everyone awestruck. Principal Correspondant at CNN IBN, Associate editor at Bloomberg UTV and Founding Trustee at The Whypoll Trust.
Next we had Mr Neeraj Vyas, Vice President BSS, Ericsson talking about emerging trends in the communication and its impact on the communications ecosystem. His immense knowledge about the topic and ability to hold the crowd was tremendous. He announced the winners for the field of Engineering and IT solutions, Apoorv Shrivastava, Harsh Aditya, Aman Singh, Khushal Pachory all belonging to prestigious colleges of Delhi. It was a pleasure to have him at the event as he proved to be a knowledge bank for the engineering and the telecommunications industry.
After the two amazing speeches we had we had a beautiful performance by two upcoming artists from Delhi Radhika Saxena and her guitarist. Post that we moved into lunch.
Ms Samridhi Bhardawaj, Assistant Marketing Manager for International Herald Tribune, Talking about Marketing and Journalism and their effects and implications on one another. She has also offered AIESEC in Delhi IIT with an opportunity to write articles and publish them in The International Herald Tribune. She announced the winners for the field of Mass Communication and Journalism, Aditya Yadav, Deepanshu and Kritika from SRM University.
Next up we had Mr Ramit Sethi talking about Marketing and Young entrepreneurship. Mr Ramit Sethi has worked with Companies like KPMG as a finance partner, Infosys BPO as Executive Council, WIPRO as Vice President, Global Head and now is the Founder and CEO of StrongBox Ventures. He announced the winners of the Marketing Field, Manav, Himanshu, Suditi and Surbhi from Ansal University.
GUEST OF HONOUR : Mr Sandeep Phuken. He is Senior Political Journalist with NDTV, Deputy National Editor and has extensively covered major political events like General Elections to Clashes in Assam.
Youth to business Forum : An Overview
Youth to Business forum as a whole was a wonderful and fulfilling event delivered by AIESEC in Delhi IIT. The Stats of the event are as follows:
Along with being a profit making event for AIESEC in Delhi IIT, Youth to Business Forum 2012 proved to be really helpful for GIP ICX too. It got us about 20 GIP ICX Leads which are in the process of being converted.
It has proved to be a Best Case Practise for our LC as we have being doing successful and Innovative Youth to Business Forums for AIESEC in Delhi IIT.
