A. Latvian Youth to Business Forum

… the link between the youth and business sectors

Initially, the idea came from Global Level, as AIESEC International has been

unique meeting point for youth leaders from around the world and leading

organizations. More than 600 youth leaders and selected organizations met yearly, in a different country to

share perspectives and propose possible actions around issues of global relevance. The forum aims to

gather opinions upon different topics such as: Climate Change and Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, Mobility

and Diversity etc.

Latvian youth to Business Forum is a one-day conference which aims to build up a bridge between the

active young people in Latvia (students and recent graduates) and the business sector. This year, the 1st

edition of the Forum was organized on 24th

of March 2010, with three tracks: “Corporate Social

Responsibility”, “Innovations in Marketing” and “Talent Management from another perspective”.

What means Synergy for our members?

“Taking Responsibility” track was dedicated to the new recruited members. They went through a series of

preparation sessions followed by simulations on specific functional areas. All these offered them a deeper

knowledge about the organization and prepared them for taking their first responsibilities in AIESEC.

“Leadership elect” track offered the future leaders of the organization (members of the executive board,

team leaders and project coordinators) extensive leadership preparation. Also the delegates learned more

about how the processes are managed in the other local committees and shared their experiences in an

international environment.

“Leadership current” track, dedicated to the current leadership bodies in the organization, offered the

delegates preparation on transition and knowledge management delivery and the needed working frame to

develop new strategies for the upcoming period, based on the term evaluation.
