DI Youth to Business Forum is an event powered by AIESEC,

which connects young leaders in the world to generate new

ideas and thoughts about the future.

EVENT OBJECTIVES

Delhi IIT Youth to Business Forum is a unique event which

connects top young leaders and global business and social

leaders, to explore the topics of leadership, innovation and

corporate responsibility, and the impact we can have on the

world through our positive actions.

It also aims at engaging students irrespective of the field of

their study with the ground realities of the business scenario

in the country. Parallel to this, we give the business minds

of today an opportunity to interact with the youth and get to

know what they feel and how they perceive it.

EVENT DETAILS

Of 15,000 students who applied for the participation,

nearly 300 students were selected to showcase their

business acumen and hone their professional skills for the

forum.

The event was executed in three stages, consisting of two

pre-events and a main event. The first pre-event was based

on the concept of ‘Bizarre Bazaar’, a fun filled activity for

students that allowed them to present some basic

marketing skills. It was conducted in a few colleges. The

second pre-event was based on learning how to

conceptualize business plans and formulate them for

reputed Publishing House, Half Baked Beans. Besides,

students were given various sessions on topics such as

stress management, time management, and corporate

culture.

The main event, on September 7, saw a series of

workshops and sessions by eminent personalities such as

Mr. Inderpal Singh, Freelance Consultant and Actor,

Publishing Head, Half Baked Beans, Col. Manoj Keshwar

(Ex-Army, IIM Graduate), Mr. S.P. Sharma, Finance

Director for Neesa Industries). These sessions were

followed by presentations of business plans by

participants and finally, the announcement of winners.

Harmandeep Singh and Simerpreet Kaur, B.tech students

from GTBIT, IPU bagged an opportunity to take up an

internship at the reputed publishing house, Half Baked

Beans. The winners Harmandeep Singh and Simerpreet

Kaur expressed their elation over the achievement, as

they have got a huge platform for showcasing their

marketing skills. “I am glad that I have met such inspiring

people. I am looking forward to be a part of this

organization” said Simerpreet, while she was handed over

her certificate.

Both Simerjeet and Harmandeep were awarded with paid

internships at Half-baked Beans and 5 5 books each as

souvenirs from Harper Collins.

winners
