21st International Congress on Photonics in Europe–collocated with LASER World of PHOTONICS 2013

This leaflet contains the complete schedule for the World of Photonics Congress, which is being held in conjunction with LASER World of PHOTONICS 2013 from May 12–16, 2013.

The World of Photonics Congress is being held for the 21st time in 2013. It has some 5,000 participants from around the world and more than 2,500 lectures, making it one of the three largest international events for the laser and photonics community.

It is the only congress that covers the photonics industry in its entirety, from basic research to applications in the industrial, medical-technology and optical sectors. Among other things, the new topics that are being added in 2013 include optical solutions in head and neck diagnostics and optical methods for imaging, characterization and inspection of bio-materials and structures. Leading international scientists will present their latest cutting-edge findings in a wide range of pioneering research areas at CLEO®/Europe – IQEC.

The World of Photonics Congress will be rounded out by practice-oriented Application Panels that take place at the LASER World of PHOTONICS trade fair and that bridge the gap between research and practice.

We are convinced that the World of Photonics Congress will give visitors the perfect combination of scientific and application-oriented approaches.
