Located in the Women’s and LGBTQA Resource Center in Apple Hall
Gettysburg College Women’s Center serves as a hub for
social justice leadership and activism around gender
equity and social justice issues, providing students with
knowledge, experiences, and resources to be informed
leaders, advocates, and change-makers on campus and
beyond.
The Women’s Center, located in the Women’s and
LGBTQA Resource Center in Apple Hall, provides a
relaxed, friendly, growth-oriented venue for students to
hang out, relax, study, have meetings, or host events.
The Women’s and LGBTQA Resource Center is staffed
every day of the week during the academic year with
student employees (see office hours on last page).
Mission
The Women’s Center's mission is to enhance the
academic achievement, career aspiration, and personal
development of all who identify as women at Gettysburg
College. We are committed to creating a safe, equitable,
and inclusive learning environment in which all people
can be successful regardless of age, race, color, religion,
ethnic or national origin, gender, sexual orientation,
gender identity, gender expression, or disability. Our
goals are to celebrate ALL identities and shed light on
issues that impact women, intersectional identities, and
oppression that disproportionately impacts women of

Vagina Monologues: Annual production to raise awareness about gender inequities. Provides a platform for individual narratives. Event open to the public.

Women of Distinction Dinner: Banquet dinner honoring exemplary women in our community. Co-sponsored with the Office of Multicultural Engagement

Take Back the Night: An annual campus awareness event in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April. Come out and support survivors in our community!
The Women’s and LGBTQA Resource Center Office Hours during the 2018-19 academic year:
Sunday - Thursday: 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Friday & Saturday: 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
College employees and students may request to use the Resource Center through 25Live.
