Work Baywater Healthcare Helpline Advisor (Nights) April 2015- present During the nightshift I am the only employee in the office and I have to ensure business continuity. One of my main tasks is proof checking prescriptions input during the daytime; doing this requires an in-depth knowledge of all services and equipment that the company provides and whether these are suitable to the patient’s needs. Answering an emergency call may involve using clear concise communication to either instruct the patient on how to fix the equipment or brief the engineer that I dispatch on the situation. Being the only employee on the shift means I have lots of practice in decision making under pressure and maintaining a high work rate without supervision.

Associated Catering Services Ltd, January 2009- ongoing ACS is a catering agency and due to the nature of this work I am in a different place with new people each time I go to work. Due to this I have learned how to use my intuition and ingenuity to develop and learn quickly under pressure and most importantly my people skills allow me to work cohesively with other employees and customers. Each time at work I am working with customers with many different backgrounds helping me to relate well with anyone I meet.

Work experience Baywater Healthcare Finance Department On my own volition I made a request to the financial director for experience within the finance department. I was allowed to assist in end of month reconciliations; mostly using excel which the department then inputs into an SAP system. Alongside this aided in compiling information needed to sell off an area of the company. Unfortunately I haven’t had as much experience as I would like as I have to have days off for the opportunity.

Interests SportsFootball is my favourite sport and I have followed Port Vale since I can remember. I have played in a number of teams and whilst at university I captained my Futsal team in which we won the league during the final year. Currently I play in a team with work colleagues which I helped to set-up and weekly write match reports that are sent out to the employees of the company. Alongside this arranged for a pitch where my friends play weekly; unfortunately I cannot play as often at the moment due to my work schedule.
