1. You need at least Four (4) Servers to have a MinRole Deployment
2. You need to have all the Roles in the Farm before starting to create service applications
3. If you don’t have 4 Servers, select Custom!
4. Office Web Apps > Office Online Server
Design this infrastructure in SharePoint 2016
1. Contoso 2. Fabrikam Trey Research Inc.
Contoso is a small business that relies on SharePoint for their day to day activities. If SharePoint goes down, they lose money, so High availability is a must. Due to budget cuts, Contoso can only afford a maximum of 4 SharePoint Servers and 2 SQL Servers.
Fabrikam is a medium sized company that uses SharePoint as a intranet platform and light document collaboration. High availability is not needed as no business critical information is stored on SharePoint. Fabrikam can afford 4 SP Servers and 1 SQL.
Trey Research is a Fortune 100 company that relies on SharePoint to run their business. Having 20 000 users, Trey Research is looking for a stable farm that is available 24/7/365. The farm will also run Trey Research’s Public website.
