What kind of media institution might distribute my product and why?

IPC media

IPC media could distribute my product because they already

distribute NME magazine. This could be perceived as them not

wanting to because they already run one music magazine however

my magazine and NME are both indie-rock magazines and therefore if

another media institution distributed it then it could be big

competition for NME. Especially because Bauer media have multiple

music magazines in competition against IPC and therefore IPC would

want to make sure they don’t drop off from its competitors.

Future PLC

Future PLC may distribute my product. I think this because they already

distribute various music magazines such as Total guitar and guitarist. This

is in the UK as well which is where my magazine would be produced so the

magazines wouldn’t have to be shipped anywhere and therefore Future PLC would see this as a save

in costs. I feel my magazine would be a good inclusion to Future PLC’s range as they tend to focus on

guitar and the main article of my first magazine is on bass guitar.

Bauer media

Bauer media may distribute my product because they already distribute

multiple music magazines. Bauer media already distributes Mojo and Q

magazine, two indie-rock magazines similar to mine. Bauer media would be eager to add to their

collection of magazines that is ever growing. I think that my magazine would be a good suit to this

because it already suits the style of the magazines they sell. They would be interested in venturing

into my music magazine to join their collection.
