Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord

commanded him and took to him his wife.

BUT WHAT DOES Matthew 1:24 TELL US? “Joseph did what the Angel of the Lord told him to do!

Matthew 1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. 20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

 2) Provider – I Tim. 5:8 "But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."

HE was OBEDIENT to God’s Instructions For His FAMILY.

 3) Professor of the Godly – Det. 6:6-7 "And these words which I commanded you today shall be on your heart, and you shall repeat them to your sons, and shall speak of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk in the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up."

He addressed the people and ask them, "What shall I do then with Jesus, which is called Christ?” The people said, (V22) "Let him be crucified." Pilate being frustrated asked again, "What evil hath the done?" The mob gave no answer but cried out more, "Let Him be crucified" (V23).Pilate seeing he could not change their minds, frustrated and with a show of contempt for the Jews, took water and washed his hands before them saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye too it."
