2 “COME, THOU FOUNT OF EVERY BLESSING” Hymn #2 Come, Thou Fount of ev'ry blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy grace. Streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet sung by flaming tongues above. Praise His name, I'm fixed upon it, name of God’s redeeming love. O to grace how great a debtor daily I'm constrained to be! 4 “O GREAT REDEEMER” Eternal King, enthroned in light, the heavens bow at Your command. You rule the world in pow’r and might yet grieve the fallen state of man. Immortal hands becoming flesh reach out to pay the sinner’s price, to bear the punishment of death, one pure atoning sacrifice. Oh Great Redeemer, oh the power of Your name. Oh Great Redeemer Oh Great Redeemer “IMMANUEL” From the squalor of a borrowed stable, by the Spirit and a virgin's faith, to the anguish and the shame of scandal came the Savior of the human race! But the skies were filled with the praise of heaven, shepherds listen as the angels tell of the Gift of God come down to man, at the dawning of Immanuel. Through the kisses of a friend's betrayal, He was lifted on a cruel cross, He was punished for a world's transgressions, He was suffering to save the lost. He fights for breath, He fights for me, loosing sinners from the claims of hell, and with a shout our souls are free, death defeated by Immanuel! Now He's reigning in the place of honor, crowned with glory on the highest throne, interceding for His own beloved till His Father calls to bring them home! Then the skies will part as the trumpet sounds, hope of heaven or the fear of hell, but the Bride will run to her Lover's arms, giving glory to Immanuel!

5 INVITATION “HOW DEEP THE FATHER’S LOVE FOR US”

How deep the Father’s love for us, how vast beyond all measure, that He should give His only Son to make a wretch His treasure. How great the pain of searing loss, the Father turns His face away, as wounds which mar the Chosen One bring many sons to glory.

Behold the Man upon a cross, my sin upon His shoulders. Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice call out among the scoffers. It was my sin that held Him there until it was accomplished. His dying breath has brought me life, I know that it is finished.

I will not boast in anything, no gifts, no power, no wisdom, but I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection.

Why should I gain from His reward? I can not give an answer, but this I know with all my heart, His wounds have paid my ransom.

OFFERTORY “IN CHRIST ALONE”

In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my Light, my strength, my song. This Cornerstone, this solid ground, firm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love! What depths of peace when fears are stilled, when strivings cease. My Comforter, my all in all, here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone, who took on flesh, fullness of God in helpless Babe. This gift of love and righteousness, scorned by the ones He came to save. ‘Til on that cross as Jesus died the wrath of God was satisfied. For every sin on Him was laid. Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay, Light of the world by darkness slain. Then bursting forth in glorious day, up from the grave He rose again! And as He stands in victory, sin’s curse has lost its grip on me, for I am His and He is mine, bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death. This is the pow’r of Christ in me. From life’s first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny. No pow’r of hell, no scheme of man can ever pluck me from His hand. ’Til He returns or calls me home, here in the pow’r of Christ I’ll stand.
