Thank you to Laura Fernández (Andrés, María and Fernando’s mom) for setting up an ofrenda in the Sra. Olea’s classroom. The Ofrenda includes pictures of our beloved teachers Mrs. McDonald and Sr. Susan Yerkich. The following link provides information about how the Day of the Dead became part of Catholic celebrations in Mexico and other parts of Latin America. http://thecatholicspirit.com/featured/day-of-the-dead/
Students are invited to participate in Spirit Day on October 31. In lieu of uniforms, they may wear costumes or orange and black colors.
No makeup, no wigs, no masks, no toy weapons, no gory costumes. Costumes must be comfortable enough to be worn all day, including recess. Participation is optional.
Halloween Class parties will be held on Wednesday, October 31 at 2:50 pm (T/R Pre-school on Oct 30). We still need a few more parents to sign up for party treats.
Box Tops Clip the Box Tops and send to school. Each one is worth 10 cents, so they add up fast!

Auction week has arrived! Thank you to everyone for your contributions in creating this magical
evening for our school. We are so excited to see those attending fill our new gym with enthusiasm on
Saturday night.
I love the auction! It is a lot of fun and we make a lot of money for our school. My favorite part during the auc-
tion is when the auctioneer asks participants to raise their bidding numbers to donate to “The School Improve-
ment item”.
This year, the School Improvement Item will fund security cameras for the school, the finishing
touches for the theatre program including stage curtains, wireless microphones and equipment
for our music program. We need LOTS of generous donors. This represents the largest single
item in the auction, and we need everyone’s help.
If you cannot come to the auction, please consider making a donation to the School Improvement Item.
We need everyone’s help. This is an amazing school, but it takes money to keep the doors open and the magic to
happen.
