2018 SBR Recognition Program

The Sustainable Business Roundtable (SBR)’s recognition program is a continuous improvement program structured to help businesses reach achievable sustainability targets. Built within the framework of bronze, silver, gold and platinum levels, our structure teaches, guides and recognizes member businesses across WNY as they implement and maintain systems of sustainable practices. The criteria requirements and support from the SBR encourage companies to implement a sustainability plan consisting of a comprehensive program of sustainable measures. All of which ensure systematic benchmarking, identification of further environmental efficiency opportunities and quantification of results when improvements are put into place. The SBR recognition program is open to SBR members in good standing.

All members who achieve at least bronze recognition will receive a certificate from the Board of Directors along with limited use of the SBR logo. If you are currently not an SBR member and want to apply for the award, complete the membership application found on our website and attach it to this application. http://www.wnysustainablebusiness.org/tojoin/

In addition to the multiple awardees in the recognition program, the Board of Directors may award up to four awards annually for:

1. Most Innovative Sustainable ProjectCriteria for this award is the achievement of at least Silver level in section 1 of this application plus the successful submittal of a project in section 2 that is recognized by the Board of Directors as a new, unique and innovative process for achieving a successful sustainability goal.

2. Eric Lindstrom Sustainability Star AwardThis award honors our colleague, friend and one of the original members of the team that developed the SBR; Eric Lindstrom. This is presented to an individual who has gone above and beyond to bring about sustainability change, either within their organization or in the wider community. The honoree does not need to be a member of SBR to be considered for this award, however SBR members must nominate all applicants. Contact Amy Alduino ([email protected]) to obtain a nomination form for this award.
