With the completion of the office project, there is one more part of the construction work that remains before we bid farewell to Woodward Construction. Let me tell you what is about to happen. Recently the Building Committee recommended to the Leadership Council that we move ahead with the alternates to our original construction bid which will expand the hallway in front of the Chapel and will provide more canopy space for the walkway in front of the Chapel. This is something that we previously did not have enough funds to complete. However, through the great generosity of the church, we now have pledged and given enough to cover not only the completion of the new office suite but also the cost of the Chapel hallway project. Since September, $911,325 in extra pledges have been made so that we can complete this work. Thanks be to God! These additional pledges authorize the Leadership Council to enlarge the scope which they voted unanimously to do. Work will begin on the Chapel Hallway project in the very near future. The front façade of the Chapel will be changed as the wall moves out to create a wider hallway in front of the Chapel. The new design will greatly help with traffic flow now that this artery will be a primary path as we move through the building. The enlarged hallway will also enhance services which are held in our Chapel. As you can imagine, such a project will create some mess and inconvenience during the work, but in a few months we should have a totally finished building project which has stayed within budget, remained under our long-term debt limit, and allowed us to accomplish all of our goals for the construction work. If you would like to see some drawings of the front of the Chapel, you may go to our web site and view them in the construction update section of the web site. I want to thank everyone who has given so generously so that we can move ahead with the completion of the offices and this hallway expansion. First thoughtsDavid hull, Pastor

You will see information in this Messenger about a move to new office space in a few days. With the completion of the office project, there is one more part of the construction work that remains before we bid farewell to Woodward Construction. Let me tell you what is about to happen.

Recently the Building Committee recommended to the Leadership Council that we move ahead with the alternates to our original construction bid which will expand the hallway in front of the Chapel

and will provide more canopy space for the walkway in front of the Chapel.

I want to thank everyone who has given so generously so that we can move ahead with the completion of the offices and this hallway expansion.

    The Church Offices are Moving!!

This Friday is moving day for all offices except the Music Suite. Furniture, books, phones, computers, files, desks all make their way over to the new Administrative Suite. Beginning Friday and through next Tuesday, please know that communication may be minimal as phones

and internet connections are established. This Sunday, the current Main Office Suite will remain operational for receiving attendance records and offering envelopes. The following Sunday, records will be deposited in the newly named Records & Copier Room which is the former office of Jamie Mackey, Minister to Students. On that Sunday as well, offering envelopes will be accepted in the Adult Ministries Office (just outside where Mark Seanor and Pam McDaniel were located). Following rehab of the Main Office Suite for use by the Music Office, offering envelopes received during Sunday School will once again be accepted in that Main Office with records permanently being deposited in the Records & Copier Room. As part of the new Admin Suite, we now have a locked and secure offering deposit box in the wall to the left of the Administrative Suite entrance to replace our current deposit slot in the Finance Office. This box is only accessible by our Finance Office. All phone extensions and email addresses will remain the same. On Monday, January 28 when meeting with anyone on staff except the Music Office staff, you will find them in the Administrative Suite accessible from the Governors Drive parking lot. The Music Office staff will remain in their current office space until the Main Office Suite is completed for their use in mid-February. We are thankful for the opportunities for ministry that these moves will give us in the coming days.
