Such was the case when Joan Jacquin, real estate professional for Rodrock &Associates Realtors, and builder/agent Chris George “Bubba” of ChrisGeorge Homes and Better Homes and Gardens Kansas City Homes, took tothe sky recently. Always in search of real estate opportunities, the paircouldn’t pass up the opportunity to examine...

...Okay. So the team of Jacquin and George didn’t really jump out of a planein order to get a bird’s eye view of some real estate opportunity. That wouldbe insane. Almost as crazy as jumping because sky diving was an item to bechecked off a theoretical “bucket list”. Of course you know where this isheaded—sky diving was indeed an item on each of their “bucket lists”.

“One day in passing, I mentioned toChris that sky diving was on my‘bucket list’. It was something I reallywanted to do,” Jacquin said. “I couldn’tbelieve it when he said it was on his listtoo. Half joking, I told him if he set it upI would jump with him. He did, and soI did.”

The friendship and working relationshipbetween Jacquin and “Bubba” (ChrisGeorge III) dates back to his toddler

years when Joan worked with his grandfather, Chris George Sr. in the 1980’s.Her relationship with the George family has extended through “Bubba”‘sfather, Chris Jr. and continues to this day. So even though there are anumber of years between them, Joan is in her LXX’s and “Bubba” is justXXX, they jumped at the chance to share the experience. (It’s improper tomention a lady’s age, but Joan is proud of her 73 years...ooops!)

Jacquin said she felt no trepidation as she prepared to go up for her sky dive.“I admit I was a little nervous,” she said prior to the jump. “Of course, there’sgoing to be somebody hooked on to me, but…” She wasn’t disappointed.After her jump, an ecstatic Jacquin told everyone that it was wonderful.

George shared her nervousness ahead of time, but thoroughly enjoyed hisjump as well. “I loved it! I asked my instructor to do a couple of spins on theway down and it was a fantastic experience.” Chris is also busy planning hisSeptember wedding, so although the nervousness of the jump is behind him,surely more anxious times await.
