In 1981 The Srisailam backwater overflow and village was completely submerged.

TIMELINE YEAR MAJOR EVENTS

1981 Srisailam back water flow flooded old bijinavemula village eventually people shifted near by place called new bijinavemula

1983 Start of cultivation

1985 Construction of kaccha roads

1987 Electrification of the village started

1992 Water tank built for drinking water, bus service started

1994 Pakka road construction begun

1995 First television set (bought by one of the mini hotels)

1998 Primary School(urdu and telugu medium)

2002 High school building constructed

2004 Another water tank constructed

2009 Primary school(urdu medium) got separate building
