• With an enrollment close to 11,000, USM is the largest of

the campuses in the University of Maine System

• Roughly 30% of all enrollees in the University of Maine

System are enrolled at USM

• USM has 3 campuses: One in

Portland, one in Gorham, and one in Lewiston/Auburn

• Maine students comprise 91.6% of the enrollment at

USM, with 77.4% of these coming from Cumberland, York,

• USM has 30, 994 active alumni in all 50 states and numerous foreign

countries, which are led by Canada with 75 and the United Kingdom with 19

• Of that 30,994 active alumni,

22,965 currently reside in Maine, with 11,361 in Cumberland County, 4,095 in York County, and 1,762 in

Androscoggin County

• USM also has a significant alumni base in other New England states, with 1,122 in Massachusetts, 999 in

New Hampshire, 404 in Connecticut, 191 in Vermont, and 107 in Rhode

Island.

The Warren G. Hill Gymnasium

is home to the storied USM

Women’s Basketball program:

• The Women’s team has

participated in 3 National

Championship games, 5 Final

Fours, and has made 10 Elite Eight appearances

• The team has won 20 or more

games for a record 30 straight

seasons

The gym is also home to USM men’s

basketball, men’s wrestling, and

women’s volleyball teams:

• The men’s basketball team

participated in the NCAA tournament

4 times, making the Final Four in

1989 • During the 2010 season the

wrestling team finished in the top 30

in the nation, had two wrestlers place

in the top six at the national

tournament (earning them All-American status), and featured two

academic All-Americans

The Fitness Center is a

square-foot facility on the second floor of Hill

Gymnasium

selectorized machines, plate loaded equipment, and free

weights. The Fitness Center

cardio line containing

treadmills, steppers, bikes, rowers, and elliptical

machines
