Houses

•  Usually  one  family  lives  in  each  house.

•  Houses  usually  have  their  own  backyards  and  a  li?le  bit  of  land  surround  the  house.

•  They  are  built  separately  from  other  houses.  This  makes  them  different  from  duplexes  or  apartments.

Mobile  Homes

•  These  homes  are  built  in  a  factory  and  then  delivered  to  the  locaCon  where  the  family  will  live.

•  There  are  neighborhoods  where  all  of  the  residents  live  in  mobile  homes.  These  are  called  “trailer  parks.”

Duplexes

•  A  duplex  is  a  dwelling  that  has  been  divided  into  two  parts  so  that  two  families  can  live  in  it.

•  The  homes  share  a  common  wall.

•  The  homes  do  not  have  to  have  the  same  floor  plan,  but  they  usually  do.

Apartments  /  Flats

•  These  homes  are  usually  intended  for  one  family  and  can  vary  by  size.

•  People  do  not  buy  apartments.  Instead  they  rent  them  for  a  specific  amount  of  Cme.
