Sept. 21 - Herodion and Bethlehem Begin your day by viewing the Herodion, the fortified palace and finalresting place of Herod the Great. Next, visit the cave where Jesus wasborn (Matthew 1: 18-25; Luke 2: 1-7). Look over the Shepherds’ Fieldwhere the Good News was first heard.

Sept. 22 - Jericho, Qumran and MasadaVisit the Baptismal Site at Qasr el Yehud, the traditional site of thebaptism of Jesus by John the Baptist. Journey to Jericho, the oldest cityin the world. Visit the ruins of the ancient city, which was conqueredby Joshua (Josh. 6:1), and view the traditional site of the Temptationof Jesus (Matt.4:1). Travel to Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scrolldiscovery. Continue to Masada to visit Herod's Winter Palace and thesite where the Jews committed suicide rather than surrender to theRomans. Sept. 23 - Caesarea, Mount Carmel & Megiddo, Nazareth, CanaVisit the Roman Aqueduct and Theatre at Caesarea where Paul wasimprisoned before being taken to Rome for Trial. Ascend Mount Carmelwhere Elijah defeated the prophets of Baal (I Kings 18). Travel theancient caravan route through the Jezreel Valley to Tel Megiddo where20 different cities lie superimposed upon each other. Next, visitNazareth, Jesus’ boyhood home (Matthew 2: 23). Conclude your daywith a visit to Cana, the site of Christ's first miracle (John 2).

Sept. 24 - The Galilee Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry in the Galilee (Matt.4:13).Travel to the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus spoke the words nowknown as the "Sermon on the Mount" (Matt. 5-7). Cross the waters ofthe Sea of Galilee and participate in a special onboard worship service.We see Magdala, home of Mary Magdelene. At Tabgha, the traditionallocation of the feeding of the 5000, you’ll visit the Church of the Fishand the Loaves (Luke 9:10-17). Pray in the Chapel of the Primacywhere three times Peter professed his devotion to the risen Christ (John21).

Sept. 25 - Northern Galilee - Hazor, Caesarea Philippi, Dan, BethsaidaThis morning we make our way to Hazor, the ancient Philistine citycaptured by Barak the judge, led by Deborah. The city was fortified bySolomon and remained in Israel hands until the Assyrians captured it.Today it is an important archaeological dig. We continue to CaesareaPhilippi, where Peter made the Great Confession. Continue to Dan and

see the delightful caves and water falls. We finish the day at Bethsaida,where some of the disciples lived and was an important fishing village.We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Sept. 26 - Beit Shean, Mt. Gilboa, Samaria & Jacob's Well Continue past Tel Dothan, thought to be the place where Joseph foundhis brothers with their flocks (Genesis 37). Visit Samaria, the capitalof the Northern Kingdom, and home to Ahab and Jezebel. See MountEbal and Mount Gerizim where the Israelites recited the blessings andcurses of the Law. In modern day Nablus (ancient Shechem) you willsee Jacob's Well where Christ encountered the Samaritan woman(John 4).

Sept. 27 - Jerusalem Stand atop the Mount of Olives as Jesus did and enjoy a remarkableview of the "Golden City" of Jerusalem, where forty days after Hisresurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven from the (Acts 1:9). Walk tothe Garden of Gethsemane and pray beneath the 2,000 year old olivetree (Matt.26:36). On Mount Zion you will visit the Upper Room, reveredas the site of the Last Supper (Mark 14: 12) and St. Peter in Gallicantuwhere Jesus was imprisoned for the night. Visit the second centurymodel of Jerusalem as it appeared in Jesus time. We will visit theShrine of the Book and Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist.Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Sept. 28 - Jerusalem This morning enjoy a walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem. Walkthe Cardo, once the main street of the city. Visit the Davidson Centerand the Southern Wall Excavations including the Teaching Steps, andthe Western Wall. View the Pool of Bethesda (John 5: 1) where Jesusperformed the Sabbath miracle. Visit Herod’s Antonia Fortress whereJesus was brought before Pontius Pilate (Luke 23:1). Walk the ViaDolorosa, "the Way of the Cross," and stand in reverence at the Churchof the Holy Sepulchre. Visit the Garden Tomb where you will rememberthe sacrificial love of the Lord and the redemption of His Resurrection.

Sept. 29 - Ein Karem, Nebi Samuel, Emmaus, Valley of Elah We travel to Yad Vashem, the memorial to the six million Jews whoperished under Hitler. Visit Nebi Samuel, thought to be the burial placeof the prophet Samuel. On the road to Emmaus Jesus appeared to twoof His disciples, following His resurrection (Luke 24:13). Finally, journeythrough the Valley of Elah, where David defeated Goliath (I Samuel 17).
