This is an intensive one-month program conducted in two-week segments in Singapore and Geneva, Switzerland. Taught by internationally renowned faculty, the program equips aviation industry executives with best practices and strategies to thrive in a competitive global aviation environment.

The curriculum consists of seven modules. Upon completion program graduates can earn credits toward the IATA-Nanyang Executive MBA with specialization in Aviation and Air Transport Management. Graduates are also registered with IATA as Certified Aviation Management Professionals (AvMP).

This program provides an in-depth understanding of aviation economics, management and regulatory issues. 12 modules are delivered in Geneva, Switzerland over 11 months, each in a three-day format. All modules can be completed individually or counted toward the Diploma of Advanced Studies in Aviation Management, the equivalent of 36 ECTS credits.

Diploma graduates are also registered with IATA as Certified Aviation Management Professionals (AvMP) and can choose to apply for the Executive MBA specialized in Aviation Management.

This specialized MBA was developed for industry professionals with a minimum of three years managerial experience who wish to further their education in a variety of aviation sectors. Professionals can pursue this Executive MBA over two years without interrupting their careers.

The curriculum consists of 12 core management modules and 12 modules from the Diploma of Advanced Studies in Aviation Management and provides 90 ECTS credits.

IATA has partnered with the Stanford Center of Professional Development, Stanford University to deliver an exclusive Aviation Management Certification Program for aviation industry professionals in a distance learning format. The curriculum is accessible on-demand, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in electronic format for the duration of one year, offering participants the unique flexibility to learn at their own pace while earning internationally-recognized credentials.

The curriculum is comprised of six required courses which must be completed in the period of a year, and upon completion, graduates will receive the new IATA - Stanford Aviation Management Certificate and will be registered with IATA as a Certified Aviation Management Professional (AvMP). This new AvMP designation may be placed after your name on business materials as a symbol of excellence and professionalism in the industry.

Authorized Training Centers (ATC)IATA Authorized Training Centers (ATC) are independent organizations authorized to teach IATA Distance Learning Training Programs in the fields of Aviation, Travel and Tourism and/or Cargo, including the following programs:

• IATA International Travel & Tourism Program • IATA International Cargo Training Program • IATA International Aviation Training Program • Leadership and Management Training Program (with Harvard ManageMentor modules) • Stanford - IATA Aviation Management Certification Program

ATCs recruit and train students at their own facilities, using their own instructors, while examinations are organized and supervised by IATA coordinators located in the ATC’s country or region .

Becoming an ATCAuthorization is granted based on demonstrated instructional expertise in addition to the institution’s overall ability to provide quality training.

Accredited Training Schools (ATS)IATA Accredited Training Schools (ATS) are independent organizations authorized by IATA to deliver training programs in the field of Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR).

ATS are entitled to deliver specialized technical and management training courses, such as:• Dangerous Goods Regulations - Initial • Dangerous Goods Regulations - Recurrent • Dangerous Goods Regulations - Awareness • Infectious Substances Regulations • Radioactive Materials

Partnership with IATA in the training field authorizes ATS’ to deliver IATA training courses locally, using their own instructors, and enables students and professionals to upgrade their professional competencies to IATA standards.

Becoming an ATSCriteria for endorsement are based on Section 1.5 of IATA’s Dangerous Goods Regulations and IATA’s Dangerous Goods Training Standard. Additionally, schools must undergo a rigorous review of teaching materials, tests and instructor credentials. To maintain endorsement, all schools must pass an annual re-accreditation review and may be audited at any time.

Diploma ProgramsITDI offers a wide range of diplomas covering all segments of the aviation industry. While any course may be taken on a stand-alone basis, we encourage participants to select a program leading to an IATA diploma. It is not necessary to commit to a diploma program at the outset. However, the earlier a diploma program is selected, the sooner IATA can work with you or your employees to help further professional development.

RequirementsTo obtain a diploma, you must successfully complete all required courses plus elective courses of your choice within a set period of time (usually two years).
