By the end of this course you will commission RFID devices, add or replace devices on an RFID system, configure the devices, and access the

data from the devices in a controller.

n Day 1:

– Configure the BIS-V processor

– Use the service port to update module firmware

– Identify installation best practices

– Add and configure an AOI for the processor

– Add the BIS-V processor to the controller’s IO Config

– Add a processor to an IO-Link module

– Configure parameters of the processor in a web browser

– Monitor RFID tag data in a controller

– Configure a BIS-U EIP single channel processor in a web browser

This course is designed to prepare someone to implement correct bonding and grounding principles for a given application.

ANSI Z49.1, IEC 61918, ANSI/IEEE Standard 142, 2005 NEC

Article 100, and NEC Article 250.4

– Define key terms including grounding, earth ground, PE, FG,

ground fault, ground-fault current path, GFCI, neutral, common,

and bonding

– Identify proper installation guidelines including observed

distances, shielding of cables, routing of cables, grounding

techniques and bonding techniques

– Implement proper bonding and grounding techniques in a given

application

– Troubleshoot an installation by locating and fixing improper

bonding and grounding practices
