TJ FISCHER RACING Mission Statement

To be a competitive, reputable racecar driver and

brand ambassador delivering both recognition and prestige for my sponsors with every race I drive.

Meet TJ Fischer – a racecar driver and student athlete TJ Fischer found his passion for driving fast at the early age of twelve when he began racing open wheel go-karts throughout northern California in 2005. After placing 4th in his very first race, TJ never looked back. He steadily won top podium placements over the next few years competing against drivers from around the world. His skills and race craft performance while facing the best up and coming drivers at prestigious regional, national and international events brought TJ to the winner’s podium so many times in 2011 that E-Karting News referred to him as “the hottest driver in the series” and termed him, Rain Master after taking both a win and 3rd place finish in heavy rain at Infineon Raceway. Late in 2011 TJ, a highly ranked national driver, raced to a 3rd place win at the Rotax US National Championships, an unbelievable accomplishment for a rookie at the highest level of competition. TJ went on to finish the season an amazing 2nd overall in points in the 2011 SKUSA Championship and was ranked 17th nationally by ekartingnews.com. He was also Northern California’s 2011 Senior Driver of the Year while driving for the prestigious Cambrian Go-Karts team of San Jose, California. At year’s end TJ entered into the highly competitive world of IndyCar racing by testing with Team GDT (Dallas, TX) in an open wheel Pro Formula Mazda for the 2012 Star Mazda Series. He was now a professional racecar driver. For 2012 TJ signed with EFM Racing and Jeff Andretti to begin his open wheel Formula Mazda race career. While it was a year of transition for TJ as he learned to drive a racecar with down force, he nevertheless had a podium finish for every race he entered – culminating in a 4th Place at the Formula Car Challenge National Championships. 2012 was a short racing season for TJ as he was juggling college, playing football and racing simultaneously. While winning consistent podium finishes on racecourses all around the U.S. and Canada, TJ has also been a successful student and member of the football team at Pacific Lutheran University. He worked hard to split his time between his studies, football and racing during the 2012 race season. The demands of being a successful racecar driver, however, brought TJ to a tough decision. TJ withdrew from Pacific Lutheran University and the football team at the end of 2012, continuing his studies through the online degree program of Grand Canyon University, so that he could chase his dream of a future in INDYCAR full time.

TJ’s 2013 Race Season – on an unheard of streak TJ competed in two racing series during 2013 – SCCA Majors and Formula Car Challenge – a total of 28 races on ten different tracks. SCCA Majors is the highest level of amateur racing in SCCA. It is for the best of the best. The Formula Car Challenge is an open wheel multiple region race series and a stepping-stone for up-and-coming professional racers. As the 2013 season draws to a close, TJ has the points lead in the Formula Car Challenge and is on pace for the season championship. He has won 16 of his last 17 races, including 9 straight wins – an unheard of streak. So far in the 2013 season, TJ Fischer is the: SCCA Formula Mazda Western Champion Runner-up National Formula Mazda Champion Formula Car Challenge Formula Mazda National Champion Formula Car Challenge Formula Mazda Regular Season Champion TJ will move up to race in the Pro Mazda Championship Series in 2014, the second step of the competitive Road to Indy Ladder System. TJ Fischer’s championship record shows he has made good use of his positive attitude, confidence and athletic talent. Moving forward as a competitive professional racer requires the support of others who appreciate TJ’s unique ability to deliver success and can benefit from being a sponsor of the TJ Fischer Racing team each time they join with TJ to celebrate in the winner's circle.

Behind The Driver – driver training and engineering teams

TJ believes that a successful racecar driver requires a winning team to mentor and support him. To give him the knowledge and competitive edge he needs for the INDYCAR ladder system, TJ paired himself with two stellar racing talents beginning with the 2012 season – Jeff Andretti, former CART Rookie of the Year and INDY 500 Rookie of the Year, and Eric Purcell, a highly respected race engineer and owner of EFM Racing. Jeff Andretti, the premier driving coach in the country and youngest son of Indianapolis 500, Formula One and Champ Car Champion Mario Andretti, is TJ’s industry advisor and driving coach. Like TJ, Jeff started racing go-karts as a youth, winning 21 of 43 events between 1981 and 1982. By 1990 Jeff joined his father and brother in the Champ Car ranks, making racing history and marking the first time a father has competed against his two sons in a Champ Car race. His consistent performance at Indianapolis, coupled with his outstanding drive in the race, earned him the 1991 INDY 500 Rookie of the Year honors. Jeff finished the season in similar fashion, also earning CART Rookie of the Year. As Jeff’s career developed, he continued to race in CART, Indy Lights and the North American Touring Car Series in addition to providing instruction for numerous driving schools and academies. Eric Purcell furnishes TJ with a full service racing facility providing design, engineering, manufacturing, vehicle preparation/maintenance and transport services. TJ drove for Eric’s EFM Racing team in a Formula Mazda Car, competing in both NASA and SCCA events up and down the West Coast for the remainder of 2012, honing his skills before advancing to SCCA Majors and the Formula Car Challenge. The multiple championship-winning EFM Racing team has had experience in the Formula Mazda class since its inception in 1984. Eric is a prominent race engineer and owner of the EFM Racing team with professional championships in several categories of racing, including the 2008 Star Mazda Series and as engineer for John Edwards at AIM Autosport.

The primary benefits of the Mazda Road To INDY developmental ladder system of INDYCAR are: • Clear, defined path for career-minded drivers • Mazda provides a Champion’s Scholarship at each program level • Television exposure for the series • All series are sanctioned by INDYCAR • Off-track seminars for drivers focused on participant business /professional skills The races that comprise the Mazda Road To INDY Ladder System are: (listed in order from lowest to highest "rung") • U.S. F2000 National Championship • Pro Mazda Championship ("Star Mazda” until the end of the 2012 season) • Firestone Indy Lights • IZOD IndyCar Series

The Mazda Road To INDY Ladder System The Mazda Road to INDY is the official developmental system of INDYCAR. It is designed as a series of developmental races that advance drivers from grassroots to the ultimate goal of participation in the IZOD IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis 500. As part of the program, all series participants compete in the three disciplines of the IndyCar Series: oval races, permanent road courses, and street circuits. In addition, all series drivers participate in the Indy 500 weekend, with the IndyCars and Indy Lights racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the lower series racing at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis on the "Night Before the 500". On December 9, 2010 it was announced that Mazda would become the title sponsor of the program.

The Pro Mazda Championship Performance is the hallmark of the Mazda experience – put to the test every weekend at racetracks and autocross tracks by drivers and enthusiasts all across the U.S. The Pro Mazda Championship, formerly known as the Star Mazda Championship, is an open wheel racecar driver development series in North America and the second rung of the Mazda Road To INDY ladder system. Competitors use spec Formula Mazda racecars built by Star Race Cars. The original series, using first-generation tube-frame cars, started in the early 1990s. The current high-tech, carbon-fiber car released in 2004. The series has historically included road courses, street courses, and ovals. The series' primary sponsors are Mazda and Goodyear and the cars, while purpose built for the track with carbon fiber monocoques, are powered by 250 horsepower Mazda 'Renesis' rotary engines. The stated goal of the series is "to develop new race driving talent". The Pro Mazda Championship series received INDYCAR sanctioning and became a part of The Road to Indy in 2010. The Pro Mazda Championship series is committed to the continued use of the proven, high-tech, carbon fiber chassis powered by the award winning Mazda Renesis rotary engine. This cost-effective platform for teams, drivers and partners creates an unparalleled on-track and off-track training program for drivers to prepare their advance in professional motorsports

The Pro Mazda Championship represents the second step in the Mazda Road to INDY driver development system: • Series champion receives a scholarship to graduate to the Indy Lights Series • Drivers and teams compete for cash and prizes totaling nearly $1 million • Events are held at the same tracks and on the same weekends as the IZOD IndyCar Series • 17-race, 9-event schedule format offers vast amounts of seat time and incredible driving value • Series-supported race weekend events feature autograph sessions, fan Q&A sessions, driver parades, etc. • The series provides unparalleled access to IZOD IndyCar Series owners, teams and drivers
