5 Tips to Manage Your Time Efficiently
1. Make a to-do list
The most effective way of managing and controlling time daily is by making a to-do list every day, where students list down the most important tasks at the very top. This will help them in using their time efficiently.
2. Use Time Management AppsThrough the apps students are able to effectively set their jobs out for the day. There is also a platform where students can learn more in less time in a fun and intuitive way. It uses effective learning techniques such as Spaced Repetition and Active Elaboration which are still not part of the mainstream education practice.
3. Do Not Be Afraid To Say ‘No’
It’s not going to be easy, but learning to say ‘no’ will help students to keep up with their workload rather than spending important hours doing things that aren’t as important as their studies. While we encourage students to prioritize their school work, they must be able to find a convenient time to attend to some activities that help them relax. It might help to leave room in your calendar for some flexibility, in case any important matters or tasks come up.
4. Take Time To Other ThingsA student will be more efficient if they know their most productive time through methods such as Spaced Repetition Online. Based on Cornel College, a student will spend 2-4 hours a day in class and is expected to spend 4-6 hours studying at home. With so little time to study, it’s essential to set a dedicated study time, which will be devoted solely to learning and reviewing. Turn off all distractions – mobile devices, TV, etc.
5. Get Enough Rest
The brain needs to rest to be able to perform at its optimum level after all effort or endurance. It is quite necessary to take a well-deserved break and sleep. It has been proven that the optimal quantity of sleeps results in more effective learning, especially in terms of knowledge acquisition and memory consolidation.
