The consortium changed fromthe original proposal, with the withdrawal of SVETS and WSF and the inclusion of LTU, to take up the part of the work that was left by the other partners.

The project consortium includes: ISPL (PL), EWF (PT), ASR (RO), ISQ (PT), IIS (IT) and LUT (SE)

• The project’s main goal is to improve weldings’ reputation and positive impact towards a younger audience;

• It is also hoped to ensure the conditions for an increase in the training of qualified welding personnel, according to international sandards;

• The project will develop national methodologies based on expertise of Swedish partner for the promotion of the welding profession;

• One of the project’s major outcomes will be a video game based on welding;

• A software developer will produce the game, following instructions from the consortium;

• The idea is to have an innovative way of presenting the welding profession to a younger audience;

• The game is to be based on actual welding processes and methodologies, to improve the player’s knowledge of the subject;

• In order to strengthen contacts between the partners and the project’s schools and students, seminars will be held in the second half of the project;

• These will be organised in the following manner:

– 10 seminars for secondary school students (2 per country: PT, IT, HU, RO and PL)

– 5 seminars for secondary school teachers in each country: PT, IT, HU, RO and PL
