APRIL 2017-SEPTEMBER 2017Vol. 5
Greetings!Mother Seraphina, our Foundress, said, “No sound character can be formed without the practice of human as well as religious values and no one can live a life of excellent principles and intrinsic goodness without a firm footing in these values and ethics.” Her sole aim was to set all human beings absolutely and unconditionally free from the darkness of ignorance, unbelief, and temporal values through education. Very few have realised the wealth of sympathy, kindness and generosity hidden in the soul of a child. The effort of every educator should be to unlock that treasure and we at St. Anthony's strive indefatigably for this. Our Institution has been nurturing young minds for the past 47 years with the belief that 'The heart of education is the education of the heart.'
With utmost joy and exuberance we present to you the fifth issue of 'The Verve', the newsletter of St. Anthony's School. It will surely unfold the fun-filled learning and some of the most unforgettable and precious moments spent from the time this session began at school. The write ups of each event will in itself open before you an array of talents, our young students are endowed with. 'The Verve' is indeed a pious attempt to bring before you a bird's eye view of what actually happens at the 'sanctuary' of St. Anthony's, where budding talent takes shape along with their creativity. We believe that our success depends upon the power to perceive, the power to observe and the power to explore. We are sure that the positive attitude, hard work, sustained efforts and innovative ideas exhibited by our young students in their daily life at school will surely stir the minds of the readers and take them to the surreal world of unalloyed joy and pleasure. We have tried our best to bring together, in short, the moments we share at school which have always enriched the learner as well as the educator, as instilled by our beloved Foundress, Mother Seraphina, who once said, “We can never give to others what we have not instilled in ourselves”.
We the Language Department at St. Anthony's, along with our Student Editors have all dipped in our oars into the joyful ride of the newsletter and have sailed it to the shore for each blissful enthusiastic reader .
It is a fine thing to have ability but the ability to discover ability in others, is truly a gift of a blessed few. Our Principal, Rev. Sr. Matilda is one amongst the rarest of the rare. We are truly thankful to her for her unfailing support and for being our constant inspiration and mentor, each day of our life at school. We heartily wish all the readers best wishes and hope you will enjoy reading 'The Verve', as much as we all enjoyed preparing it for you.
God bless you and your family.
Best Wishes Editorial TeamThe Verve
May your Christmas be filled withGAIeTy and bliss – and yourNew Year with infinite learning.
